"We stayed for one night to visit Yala national park safari. We were in a room on the ground floor by reception and the restaurant. Our window looked out onto the staff sitting area so we couldn’t open the curtains. It also meant that we could hear constant chatter including at 5am. It was Valentine’s Day and unfortunately there was a party in the town which was extremely loud and went on until 2am. I tried to sleep with earplugs but they didn’t block the noise. The water in our room was cold and maintenance were unable to fix it. We were offered another location to shower but we’d already had a cold shower. We ate in the restaurant which was one of the most disappointing meals on our trip. I ordered a chicken curry which was a lump of chicken in a really watery curry sauce. This was one of our more disappointing hotels on our tour of the island."

"It was a great place to stay for a safari. It's a big family house with 3 floors. Everything was clean and the owner and his family were very nice. I stayed in a shared room but was alone there. The view through the window was amazing. The owner was happy to help with safari or taxi booking. Overall, a nice place to stay"

"Great accommodation for those who want to sleep in the middle of nature. We had wonderful views of the monkeys in the trees and also booked a safari in Yala National Park through the accommodation. We had a great guide and were even lucky enough to see a leopard up close. The food at the Riverside Cabana was excellent and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend the accommodation."
