Royal Elysee ★★★★
Hotel Omorika ★★★★
"If there is a minus star, I would assign it! Everything in this hotel is falling apart, both facilities as well as staff. Sometimes, employees act like they are mentally challenged people. Some resigned just out of the blue during our stay as personnel management is obviously very bad. Emails to management not responded or responded too late. Email dated 21 May was responded on 11 June!!! Hotel is placed in lovely but not maintained forrest, and it is normal to see wild pigs around in the evening. Not a pleasant encounter, knowing that those animals could be dangerous and damage vehicles. And people! Hotel room is like a poorly maintained hostel - cheap stuff, dirty flooring, aircon could not be set properly, TV did not work, bathroom is flooding and all hangers are falling apart. Once you close the bathroom door - good luck with opening as they get stuck. The only way to close the bathroom door and not get stuck is to hold it with towel hanger that is anyhow broken (see photo) Room maintenance would not check up balconies, so used glasses and plates would remain there for couple of days. Elevator buttons does not work properly. Swimming pool not in function (and the charge you for a 4-star hotel with two swimming pools!) Food is tasteless; an old, scratched pot with frankfurters in hot water was among breakfast items!!! Wonder if sanitary i spection ever come in there. If you are a minute late, there is no juice from dispenser - apparently programmed that way. We were a group od 50 people that came for a wedding. A welcomming party was organized for guests. Management was definitely uncapable to organize it - so the guests of the wedding couple were helping set the tables, move things around, etc Hotel staff was simply lost. The only real waitor there was a guy called Antoni, the rest are lost cases. Last but not least, once we were leaving, receptionist was requesting guests to pay different price than agreed. One couple was asked to pay 700 E instead 240 E. After an argument, explanation was that they charged 6 months old baby as an adult. Still does not make calculation right, but ok. Then, two persons sharing room were charged differently - one was asked 68 E, another 90 E. Madness. If this is tourism, good luck!"

Holiday Resort Kačjak ★★
"The only advantage of the hotel is its location. Nice view, clear water, close to the houses. There is a lot of potential in the hotel, but unfortunately it all remains untapped. There are few bins in the area, so there is a lot of rubbish (nappies in the bush etc). There is no animation contrary to description, the sports fields are used for parking. We stayed for a week, the room was not cleaned once, towels are supposed to be changed every 3 days, but this did not happen for us either. The double bed was two single beds with a huge hole between them, and the mattress on one of the beds was shorter than the bed frame. There were no mosquito nets on the windows, so we could not open the windows at night, and it was very hot because of this (no air conditioning of course). The lamps were covered with bug carcasses inside, so there was hardly any light. There was only one power socket in the room, and that was at head height near the entrance. There was no fridge in the room either, which was much missed in the summer. No wifi in the room, in fact none in most of the area. Only in one part of the beach, at the reception and in the restaurant. The restaurant is the weakest point of the hotel. The view is very nice, but that is about all that can be said about it. For breakfast it is plastic flavoured cheese and ham, filter coffee, one kind of vegetables and a bowl of donuts that are only refilled every hour, even though they are gone in 5 minutes. Breakfast lasts until 10am, but what runs out after 9am is not refilled. Dinner is the same. The same food every day. Spiny fish, chewy meats, dilute soups. Sweets are pudding every day, and at the beginning of dinner, 10 portions of a more delicious dessert that guests take away immediately and the staff does not bring any more. Also, there is ice cream, which is delicious, but the waiter tells you to put it in a small instead of a muh because "a mug can hold too much". The food is hardly ever refilled. If they run out of a salad (also the same every day), they don't refill it, they just take the bowl away and pull the bowl next to it in the middle so there is no hole. The waiters are inexperienced, slow, no smiles, always feel you are in the way, almost push you over. They push a small cart around the restaurant with a bowl to collect the leftovers. This bowl is in front of the customers' eyes all the time, they don't take it to the back, it's a real appetite killer. The plates are dirty, the floor is full of food waste, if there is a spillage they put cardboard down to soak it up and don't clean it up. The restaurant has a terrace, which is always full, but they don't set the table, only the inside. Clean cutlery is constantly missing, nowhere to be found."
