The biggest surprise, though, was being able to capture the most beautiful Northern Lights that night. Unfortunately, the weather turned bad for the rest of my trip, so I didn't get to see them again."

"The front desk service was excellent, extremely welcoming. We had unlimited access to the hot springs, and the aurora borealis was clearly visible at night. Free tea was provided before 8 pm upon check-in, and a free breakfast was included the following day. The only downside was that there was no kitchen available for cooking at night; the front desk recommended restaurants in town. The fish stew at the Salt restaurant was so delicious!"

"So this is me looking back at our Iceland "Tour" and the highlights. Ironically, despite the waterfalls (very numerous), glaciers, black beaches and ice caves one of the stand out moments was our visit to this establishment...I kid you not!. We dropped in for a coffee.....a complete surprise, it was very very relaxing. If I lived here it would be my "local". The owner was very welcoming. I could easily have tanked a few beers and whiskies, if I wasn't driving. Yes they do have a range of Scottish whiskies ( so says the Yorkshireman living in Scotland!) and a "happy hour". If I ever come back to Iceland I will definitely visit this establishment. A very highly recommended cafe/bar whether it be a quick coffee or a chill out evening."
