"Stayed at the Residence Inn in Waxahachie over the last weekend in May for my daughter‘s wedding. The location was very close to the wedding venue, and right off the highway in Waxahachie. Check-in was quick and easy, even though we arrived late at night. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Beds were comfy, bathroom had hot water, and the AC unit worked well. Room had a full kitchen, dining area and two beds with plenty of room to spare. No bathtub. Breakfast the next morning was great, offering a selection of hot and cold items. My only complaint is they only carry Pepsi products, and the small store is ridiculously priced . I think 2 sodas and 2 waters were almost $25. All in all would def stay here again if in the area. Was able to book cheaper on ******* than through Marriott even though I’m a Bonvoy member."

"We stayed one night in Room #2, but wish we'd stayed longer. The English Merchant's Inn is as charming as it sounds. The attention to detail is top notch and the home is so cozy. Traditional English tea is provided along with other amenities to make your stay comfortable. The Owner of the home was so pleasant; we enjoyed chatting with Howard. Wax. is a sweet little town with several restaurants and many shops. The B&B is only 0.5 mile or a quick drive to the little town. There's even a lake nearby that would be fun if you are staying for a longer amount of time. DAL/DFW is only about 30-45 minutes drive."

"The bathroom had straight up MOLD in the shower. The bathroom also had clear water damage on the door and wall. There was a non-functional exhaust fan in the bathroom. Try doing your makeup in that humidity! I had to wait 2 hours for the mirror to defog.  Next the bed was hard as a board! Like so hard I was tossing and turning all night and I actually considered driving home in the middle of the night.  The furniture was scratched up like they pulled it out of a dumpster. The provided shampoo and stuff was all citrus scented. No non-scented options.  Window had obvious signs that someone had “relations” against it and wasn’t cleaned."

"We had a family event and left the hotel around 11 AM. We came back around 10 PM to find our door open but none of the towels or anything had been changed. WHY WOULD HOUSEKEEPING GO INTO OUR ROOM AND NOT DO ANYTHING AND THEN NOT LOCK THE DOOR BEHIND THEM? After speaking to the front desk was told housekeeping, unlocked all the doors and then cleans them and locks them obviously this is not a safe way to do business. Anyone can just walk into our room at any time."
