Tirol Lodge

"We were there in the low season and I have to say the price/performance ratio was great. The room was simple but perfectly adequate and clean. The breakfast buffet was served in the valley station next door and was great. In summer it is a perfect starting point for hiking and in winter it is right next to the lift and après-ski in the Ellmauer Hex opposite. You can walk to the Bergdoktor's practice or the center of Ellmau. There are plenty of parking spaces. The sauna area is good, and there is a small pool with a few loungers in the covered area - sufficient in the low season but too small in peak season. There are also snacks in the lounge area at reception and Sky Bundesliga is shown on weekends - very cozy thanks to the fireplace."

"We normally stay in chalets so we’re unsure what to expect for a ski hotel. Wow, what a hotel! Everything about Hotel Hochfilzer is special. The staff are simply perfect and the food sublime. Good value too. We will be back. Truly a very special family run hotel"

Flora - Das Kleine Gartenhotel

"This our 3rd visit to Ellmau and the 3rd time in the Claudia which is now called the Flora. This was our 1st week of a 2 week 2 centre holiday which we booked with Inghams. As before we had a wonderful week, all the staff provided an excellent service. We stayed in a large room with comfy bed. Lovely breakfasts in the Flora and dinner in the main hotel The Hochfilzer which is just a very short walk away. Even though we've been here before, we're glad we came back and even spent a short time with the Rep on the Sunday morning and learnt a few more things about the village and we can travel even further for free with the Wilder Kaiser guest card. Well done Ingrid for running everything. To Lukas and his team for our wonderful breakfasts. To Goran and the bar staff for our evening meals. The the kitchen staff for varied and interesting dinners. Not forgetting our 'room fairy' for keeping our room clean & tidy. Yes, one day we'll be back. "

Hotel der Bär

"We have stayed at the "Der Bar" many times before and as always our stay is "A Home from Home". Everything was perfect from our greeting at Reception right through to our beautifully cleaned rooms even the the weather could not dampen our mood.
