"I’ve booked this hotel 3 times now, the 1st time through an agent and then through the owners directly. I’ve always booked the same room which is on the ground floor and has a lovely patio. We’ve had 2 lovely holidays here. We booked while here last year for this year and paid a CASH deposit which is what they prefer, they also prefer you to pay in CASH when you check in . I confirmed everything by email a week before including our booking for room 7. On my arrival I was informed that the room had been given to another guest who had booked the room more times than I had and was offered another room upstairs, all I can say is a heated argument ensued and I was shown the door, then having to look for alternative accommodation. On looking back through earlier guest reviews this is a common occurrence. Obviously they are getting a better price for the room. So if you book early direct with the owner don’t take it for granted that you will get what you booked. The emails requesting cash payments have been forwarded on"

"Very enjoyable stay. Customer care at its best. There’s a warmth to this hotel that just feels different. It’s a classy hotel without being too showy and personally I prefer that. It’s a more personal experience without being too intrusive. The barbecue the staff put on at very reasonable price was so good. After a pretty stressful year (cancer) I can’t believe how easy it was to switch off within a few hours. Breakfast was excellent healthy eating and nice coffee. Pool area so chillled. Nice areas for lunch and inside to have a drink. The most important part of this hotel though is the staff. If you want a car a boat trip etc all done for you from reception. Takes the thinking out of it. I would definitely recommend this hotel."
