"We stayed here at the beginning and end of our tour of Kerala. As others have mentioned the location is a little out of the way, but for our tour start it fitted the bill well. Our room had everything we needed and had a nice view overlooking the pool. The bed was very big and extremely comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast included. The dinner was excellent with lots of choice. I found the breakfast a bit more limited and had particular issues when obtaining hot drinks. The hot water flask was exhausting to use and a better option needs to be found. We used the bar on a few occasions. The staff were all really friendly and even though as others have said it is a little dark, I enjoyed the music and the ambience. The snacks that came with the drinks were also excellent."

"It’s a great location and wonderful staff and service. Breakfast is too good and perfect spread. The only grievance I have is the sleep quality. These tiny mosquitoes somehow find a way inside. Don’t know if that tiny and scary balcony is required at all. You have a door which opens but a board saying “ No access “ . Just don’t get the logic. Seal that door to prevent mosquito."

"We stayed there for 2 nights from 15- 17 April . It was always on our bucket list and I heard a lot about it .we had a lovely stay from Start to end . We checked in @ 8:00 pm We were warmly welcomed with the front office team a lady escorted us i don't remember the names She was very knowledgeable and helpful we were upgraded from Delux to Luxary with a stunning view . Thank you for that. The room was spacious and clean with all amenities in place. We loved the room as special mention to Anoop from House keeping who was our room assistant who was always taking care of our amenities and cleaning . The restaurant had a super ambience overlooking willington Island. Stay @ all the restaurants were fantastic. Special mention to Ajith, Jaimon , Akhilan, Chef Anoop and Subin they are all very well taken care of our food needs and service. Abhay for Bar was superb friendly with great service .Special mention to Chinchu thomas security manager who we met .he helped us with late check out till 2:00 since we had a late evening train as I was travelling with my wife . We had a lovely time . My wife especially enjoyed it this was the best food we ever had in all of taj property. Kanverjeet from the front office who did our billing was quick and helped us for a smooth time .We would love to come back again soon .Thank once again Taj malabar for a lovely time we had and A 5 star to the entire team"

Most important the service from arriving to leaving from reception, housekeeping and restaurant / bar staff was 6 stars. Good size room , comfortable beds, Good A/C and plenty of hot water. Food for breakfast and Buffet in the evening plentiful and a lot of choice plus Happy Hour in the bar for a cold Kingfisher ! ( what you need after a long journey ). Excellent value for money and great location"
