Beachfront Resort
"Amazing staff, looked after us well. Felt really spoilt. Rooms were great. Cleaned daily. Beach view and morning prayer on the wooden seat was a really special time. Went as a group of 50 and the photo is all the names of the staff who cared for us. Amazing time !!!"
Turtle Bay Lodge
"An excellent stay and excellent diving with Turtle Bay Lodge. Just me and my eldest daughter which was awesome - a proper resort vibe with a nice pool and excellent restaurant and bar. The room and whole place was very clean and well presented, everything you need and everything worked, and super friendly staff. My daughter did her Advanced Open Water with the lovely Yvanah (one of only two female PADI instructors in Vanuatu) and she and Mick and all the crew were fantastic and very professional. Hire equipment was fine no issues, and the boat was fine for short runs to the dive sites (big brand new boat arrives next year!). I finally got to dive the mostly intact RNZAF FU4 Corsair I didn’t get to on my last Santo trip (because I didn’t stay Turtle Bay!). As well as kayaks and paddle boards etc. they also have very new quad bikes and ATVs to rent which surprised me - clearly the owner is happy to invest. The restaurant is open from early till late and the menu is expansive and prices still just in the “reasonable” bracket - certainly delicious and well presented. And the bar makes cocktails… so what more could you want? I’d definitely stay again."
Barrier Beach Resort
"This was our first time staying at Barrier Beach Resort for 7 nights and we absolutely loved it. Shaun and Janine, the managers, were incredibly accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. They create such a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that you instantly feel at home and already want to plan your next visit. The staff were all so lovely and always happy, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our meals were beautiful, and the location itself is simply amazing, peaceful, stunning, and exactly what you hope for when visiting Santo. After visiting Santo many times over the years, this is one resort we will definitely be coming back to. A truly memorable stay."
The Espiritu
"The location is very convenient to explore the island and shop for everyday things. We've celebrated New Year's Eve there and it was very remarkable, but honestly the main meal could be better like prawns or squids were a bit tasteless especially for the price. The stuff is amazing, they could resolve any problem you have and e.g. permitted us to use the pool after checkout and during the private party. Although the breakfast could be more diverse or buffet style"
Aore Breeze
"Bungalow accommodation on point with beautiful reef and fish 15m from shore. Private. Friendly staff on site with cooked breakfast daily and full kitchen in unit. Kayaks available. Spectacular night sky. We'll definitely return. Thank you."
Deco Stop Lodge
"Absolutely fabulous stay at Decostop Lodge! Kim and her staff were so welcoming and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was really lovely with a beautiful view and serviced daily with fresh towels if you needed them. There were lots of little touches such as tanna coffee in the room and a clothes rack for drying swimsuits etc. Beds were very comfy and lots of powerpoints to charge all that stuff that divers need to charge. The bar/restaurant area was great for relaxing or a quiet drink in the afternoon. We ate at the retaurant most days and the food was always delicious and well presented. Kim even went out of her way to stock diet coke which isn't a big thing on Santo. I can highly recommend Decostop Lodge if you are staying in santo...we loved it and will definitely be back!"
Dany Island
"He spent 3 amazing days at Dany Island, lost in a paradise in a wonderful atmosphere ! The staff had been amazing during our all stay allowing us to enjoy our snorkeling and surfing trips ! Rooms are really spacious and with all modern confort and very clean ! Our only issue was the noise of the sea ! I would recommend to anyone wishing to go on paradise !"
Tropicana Motel & Backpackers
Aore Island Resort
"If you want peace and tranquillity this is the place to be. 2½hrs direct flight from Brisbane on Thursdays and Saturdays ( i believe as we did it a different way so check that fact) you'll land in Santos, A prearranged airport transfer will have you at the jetty in 20min where you'll be greeted with smiles and warm welcomes by the most helpful friendly local people ive ever come across. They will carry your luggage to the awaiting luxury ferry( ok its a tinny with a tarp roof but its 10min so who cares😁) 10min harbour voyage will have you at the resort where you'll again be greeted with smiling friendly people. ( leave your bags with Moses on the boat, he loves carrying luggage especially big heavy ones😄) a quick briefing about the resort and than a beautiful walk along the garden path to your room where your bags are already there. The beach is at your doorstep but not all of it is soft sand. There is a reef right there so in some sections reef shoe( they have a supply at the resort if you haven't got any) are a must as coral is washed up on the shore. There's no AC but you don't need it. With fine insert screens on all the windows and ceilings fan we slept very comfortably. The fridge is only mini bar size so don't bring a big grocery order over, we found we had to put what ever snacks we had in the fridge because of these little micro ants will invade anything you leave out. Not sure if everyone had the same issue but its not a big issue to control and lets face it, it was our fault for leaving bloody nice biscuits out for them. Theres no TV in the rooms ( could be in the studio rooms but not sure) but you won't miss it believe me. Also free WiFi is only available at main area but you still have good 4G coverage in your room, but if you can afford the room you can afford to use your own data. We got complementary breakfast everyday down at the main area, lunch is well catered and dinner is some of the best food ive ever had. The steak i had was the best steak ive eaten in 60 yrs on this planet and extremely well priced. Theres free kayaks and the " luxury ferry" goes back and forth from the island all day and the resort has a list of full day and half day tours they will arrange for you at the same if not better price you'll get in town. Ok so ive babbled on enough in short you enjoy the resort from the management (owners) to the most helpful staff to the mouth watering food. If your visiting santo this is where you need to stay."
