Potshot Hotel Resort

Potshot Hotel Resort ★★★

📍 561 Murat Rd, Exmouth

"Unfortunately, the pillows were a bit dirty and there was a beetle in the room."

Exmouth Escape Resort

Exmouth Escape Resort ★★★★

📍 375 Murat Rd, Exmouth

"A very nice hotel. The front desk proactively upgraded us from a two-bedroom to a three-bedroom apartment. The facilities were well-maintained, and there was even a dryer and washing machine – great! The downsides: the scissors were a bit rusty, and the kettle was a little dirty; I recommend using a pot to boil water. Unfortunately, we returned too late to eat at the resort's whales restaurant (it closes at 9 PM). Hopefully, we'll have the chance to come back again."

RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park

RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park ★★★★

📍 3 Truscott Cres, Exmouth

"Clean, cooking utensils"

SAL Salis Ningaloo Reef

SAL Salis Ningaloo Reef ★★★★

📍 Cape Range National Park, Exmouth

"Our visit was cancelled a week prior to our visit as the hotel had to close down after Cyclone Narelle to repair damage. Totally understandable, however them refusing to refund our stay was not at all understandable. We were offered a voucher to return at a later date, which doesn't work given we live on a other continent and dont regularly make it to Aus. Beware!"

Potshot Hotel Resort ★★★
"Nice location at the heart of Exmouth. I drove so everywhere was accessible, markets and cafes in 10 minutes walking distance. Easy pick up point for tours. I stayed in a dormitory, great receptionist to put me within the females (as it was not a selection here). Kitchen and communal facilities very basic, doesn’t have salt and pepper. Next to bar and party area, every Friday live DJ until 12am. I could hear the beats from my room."

Exmouth Escape Resort ★★★★
"A very large hotel with all kinds of apartments, including two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. The rooms are very large and the facilities are very complete. It is a very comfortable choice for living in Exmouth! The hotel has a restaurant and a swimming pool. Wild emus often visit the hotel gate. You can swim with humpback whales from July to September and with whale sharks from March to July. Highly recommended. Although it is in Western Australia, it is about 2,000 kilometers away from Perth. There is an airport here that flies to Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. It is not a problem except that it is far away."

"Unfortunately, I booked a dorm room instead of an ensuite room. The room was very clean and tidy but lacked a few things, in my opinion. It needs to have a mirror, glasses in the fridge and a microwave. Amenities were excellent."

SAL Salis Ningaloo Reef ★★★★
"We never got to stay at Sal Salis because of cyclone Narelle but I just had to leave a review about the appalling way Sal Salis handled the cancellation. It was interesting to see other reviews mention that the experience had become 'corporate' (I know they have recently been taken over by a conglomerate) because that was our strong feeling too. We were in Exmouth when the cyclone hit and the aftermath was dreadful for local enterprises - both on a personal and professional basis. As tourists, we were (rightly) lower on their priority lists and yet every single hotel and experience in the area swiftly gave us full refunds. They were sorted out by people who lived and worked in the Exmouth area and whose lives were affected by the cyclone and yet every single one handled our situation in a friendly, polite, fast, professional way. We only had one problem securing a refund and that was with Sal Salis (or the Journey Beyond Co) whose admin and finance team are based in their corporate office 1000s of kms from the affected area. We had a voicemail to tell us our stay was cancelled and then all our subsequent messages were ignored (despite being allocated 'case numbers'). The only messages we received were corporate blanket emails congratulating us on being granted vouchers to stay at Sal Salis in the future (ie no refund)! We only got a refund weeks later by asking our credit card company to intervene and request a chargeback - even then they initially reduced the refund to try and take advantage of the exchange rate move vs GBP which had happened since I paid them thousands of dollars 12 months previously. I'm sure the team on the ground at Ningaloo Reef are great but cyclones are not uncommon in this area and so it's worth knowing how the corporate office in Adelaide is likely to react if you have any problems."
