We have several city parks for families to enjoy, one has a splash pad for water fun! The Royal Gorge, which is America’s highest suspension bridge, is 15 minutes away. The Royal Gorge train is minutes from the house and ushers you up the floor of the canyon. You can take a helicopter tour, raft down the Arkansas river, rent a Segway, ride the zip line or go to the dinosaur museum which are all local attractions. Our golf course is 15 minutes away. For the Antique lover, Florence is 15 minutes away and is filled with Antique stores and specialty shops. Colorado Springs is an hour drive and opens up all the attractions a big city has to offer. It is the home of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Airforce Academy, the Olympic training center, the Broadmoor Hotel and much more. You can drive up Pikes Peak which is over 14,000 feet in elevation and ride the Cog railway at the top. For you skiers who love the snow Monarch Ski Area is about 90 minutes away. Cripple Creek is a gambling town and is a beautiful 1 hour drive. After your fun filled day of adventure, return back to the house to relax or just recharge for your next activity. The local Cotopaxi Store is about 20 minutes away. They carry gas, groceries, deli, meats and at least one of everything else you could need.

Looking for some hot springs? There is an indoor hot springs pool in Salida. Mount Princeton is just past Salida with its renowned hot springs.
