"Our room comfortably accommodated two adults and two children, although there was an additional charge for the kids. The hotel service was excellent. Even though our children weren't paying for meals, they were still given very generous portions and were made to feel included at mealtimes. The hotel's food is genuinely delicious, ranking among the best on the island. The à la carte options were also great, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thundi Seaview. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable. The food in the cafe was delicious and we enjoyed our (local) breakfasts in the morning. The staff was wonderful and especially Fazlan went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He was very professional and kind. Upon our request he even organized a tour at the local school for us. This guest house has a spa as well and I had a lovely massage by the Balinese Rishta. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks for a great week!!"

"We were picked up at the Velana airport after an overnight stay at the local island, with transfer fee of $40 USD per person to take the speedboat to Fulidhoo, where Kinan Retreat is at. After alighting from the jetty at Fulidhoo, it's a short 5 mins walk to the Retreat. Welcome drinks and hot hand towels were offered. We missed the morning excursion trip but decided to go for it the next day. The room provided can have an extra bed for $15 USD. Fulidhoo is a small local island but it's the favorite hangout for stingrays and nurse sharks. You will be able to spot these lovely creatures around the shore, especially near evening time when there are people who start feeding them. You will be able to get up close and even touch them, but with caution. We went on an evening fishing trip that cost $45 USD per person, inclusive of a BBQ dinner for the dishes that were caught. On the next day before leaving for our resort island stay, we took the excursion trip to see dolphins, snorkeling with nurse sharks at SharkPoint and went turtle spotting, all these for $40 USD per person. Underwater videos were captured and shared by WhatsApp. Great service by the counter lady Shahidah. I will recommend this Retreat to visitors, and you will not be disappointed with the time spent on the island."

"Had a wonderful week long stay at Thundi Guest house. It's a small hotel with perhaps 12-14 rooms. Was on the second floor. Each room has a balcony with a sea view. The room was nice, modern, with a safe as well as an electric kettle. Breakfast was a simple spread, but absolutely perfect to the day. The restaurant - Faru Cafe is one of the best on the island. Had almost all my meals there. It makes sense to take a half board plan at least, as it gets more cost effective than a la carte. During lunch, it takes time, so one needs to be patient for the food with good portions. They even had a spa option, and I went for an excellent massage on a rainy day, when diving was cancelled. The hard working staff is what made my stay special. Shihan, Asanka, Fazlan, Wenlyen, Rishta were always around if I needed something, or just got a chat. Will stay again on my next visit "

"We understand this place isn't everyone's cup of tea but for the price and facilities it was reasonable. This was one of the two accommodation options on the small island of Fulidhoo we found that supplies a communal washing machine to guests at no extra charge, which was extremely convenient for us. The family who run it were helpful in offering to carry our luggage and found an extra sheet for us when we asked. The room is very basic but the air con worked well. The bathroom is a bit odd, but most Maldivian bathrooms are. They were flexible about having an early breakfast for us in line with our scuba diving schedule and the Chinese family who run this are spear fishers and for a price can prepare an amazing Chinese fish feast which even my husband who normally dislikes seafood enjoyed. This place works for seasoned travellers who are just looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep at night and do their laundry and plan to fill up their days scuba diving or boating. It is not a good option for people wanting a luxury style escape. There are several other options on the island if you want premium luxury. The price of this place reflects that. "
