"I had booked my stay at Crayon Hotel from 21-23/08/2026 as i was visiting Gandhinagar for an official medical conference and the hotel was enlisted in the recommendations as circulated by the event manager. However, i was shocked to note that despite paying a hefty sum to ensure a smooth peaceful stay i was going to be met with such inconvenience. The location is far from ideal, there are always some questionable elements hanging outside the entry gate for the hotel at all hours of day and night making it unsuitable for female occupants. I suffered from a night of sleeplessness in the face of an important conference the following day as the AC began to malfunction and was switching off spontaneously - in a room with no windows or fans- I was stuck fiddling with everything from the remote to the switchboard to the main fuse from 1am to 3:30am. Called the staff for help multiple times, extremely uncomfortable to have unaccompanied male visitors in the room at 3 in the night - and not only was the chap not able to be of the slightest use- but the following morning he has gone and told his manager some uncultured lies about how i seemed to have raised a cooling problem which was probably imaginary since none of the other residents had complained. It is one thing to not be able to help with the air conditioning in the middle of the night- but upon raising the same issue with the manager - to be told that i am making things up at 3 in the night on what was already a very tightly scheduled stay for me is just preposterous. They were unable to help with the room, the air conditioning, unable to set aside one slice of bread and jam for breakfast despite having requested them 4 times that i was delayed owing to the debacle they created the previous night. I wouldn't wish this insanity on anyone. Please escalate this matter to whoever is the authority on this matter- the staff on the night of 22nd of August and the manager in charge on the morning of 23rd August should be held accountable for ruining what could have been a perfectly reasonable stay for me at 8000 rupees anywhere else - this behaviour is bordering on harrassment."
