"The staff is generally very friendly and engaging, and housekeeping does an excellent job. The rooms are fine but not particularly special for the price. Breakfast is good, and Michela stands out as wonderfully attentive and kind. However, the coffee could be improved, and the evening restaurant (the same space used for breakfast) is a major letdown - the food is average, overpriced, and some of the service staff show questionable attitude. For dinner, it’s definitely better to head into the city. The sauna and pool close at 7:30 p.m., which feels far too early. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with great views, but given the room rates, it doesn’t quite deliver the experience you’d expect for the price."

"The Villa Hotel is undeniably beautiful. It’s set in a stunning location overlooking the lake, with breathtaking mountain views. I’ve stayed here twice in the past and absolutely loved it. The grounds are extensive and immaculate, everything feels very well maintained, and the staff have always been friendly, professional, and helpful. However, I’m very disappointed by the hotel’s recent change to its dog policy. On my previous stays, I brought my two small dogs and was happy to pay the dog supplement, as the hotel advertised itself as pet friendly. My dogs are under 5kg, very calm, quiet, and have never caused any mess or disturbance. When I recently contacted the hotel to request a quote for a future stay, I was informed that the dog supplement has increased by 40%, from €15 to €25. In my opinion, this is a very steep and unjustified increase, particularly for such small dogs. While I understand a reasonable supplement, this feels excessive and more “dog tolerant” than genuinely pet friendly. Unfortunately, this change has put me off returning. It’s a real shame, as otherwise the hotel is a wonderful place to stay."

"I'll try to structure this review as best as possible and be as impartial as possible. The building is very dated, starting with the signs, which are damaged but not illegible. There are about a dozen parking spaces inside the hotel, allowing for safer parking. The reception area is small, without air conditioning, but the room is still well-ventilated. Unfortunately, the room we were assigned was not in good condition. We found it full of cobwebs and dust, but everything was quickly resolved thanks to the very kind staff who listened to our requests. Unfortunately, no air conditioning, and the room was cheap, but in 2024, when all 3-star hotels have it these days, I find this lack quite absurd. Damaged furniture, dirty walls, and a small bathroom that was also not in good condition (I've attached photos). In the end, after staying for three nights, we decided to cancel our stay and move elsewhere. Having booked through ***********, they told us we had to pay the full price because *********** requires it that way. I'll definitely check it out. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it to anyone. Unless it undergoes a complete renovation, or at least for the lake view, which, with all these problems, is secondary."
