"It's about 20 minutes away from Liberty Ski Resort... The hotel facilities are very new, and you can make your own waffles for breakfast. It happened to be snowing heavily, so you can see the snow scenery while sitting in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the snow is too heavy and you can't see the military monument clearly.
The room is relatively large, very clean and tidy, and the price-performance ratio is very high."

We have a lovely front porch with rockers and a quaint, shaded sitting area out back. This sweet home boasts of many cozy areas to congregate and the eat in kitchen is no exception. The kitchen table can seat 8. Our kitchen is newly equipped with a gas range/ oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, blender and plate/ cup service for 12.
Free high speed internet and basic cable are provided. Our house has 4 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, 1 downstairs and 3 upstairs and in the living room is a Queen pull out couch. It also has 2 Full baths, one upstairs and one downstairs. A full Kitchen and a laundry room with Washer and Dryer, Iron and Ironing Board. The Kitchen is fully stocked with Pots and Pans, Baking and casserole dishes, plates, cups, bowls, glasses and utensils. We also supply linens and the start of paper products. The property will be clean when you arrive, however, there is no daily housekeeping service. Therefore, we respectfully request that you maintain the home in a neat and orderly fashion.
Early check in and late checkout (if possible) is $25.00 an hour.
We do have our Certificate of Use and Occupancy from the Gettysburg Borough and we are in Full Compliance with the PMCA

The Gettysburg Retreat is a Pre-Civil War 2 story Gable front house. Built in 1853 it was originally owned by William Steinhour. Steinhour owned the house until 1859, then sold to Henry and Mary Zeigler in 1860, then repurchased by William Steinhour in 1864. It was later bought in 1868 by William Z. Little and then sold in 1872 to James Caldwell. The house was later passed down to Little's heir in 1873.
One thing interesting about the house, is in the first 2 blocks of West Middle Street. You will find several Civil War houses towards downtown Gettysburg, but as you reach The Gettysburg Retreat, the house beside it was the last house in town until you get to Seminary Ridge during the Civil War.
The land Gettysburg was founded on was originally owned by William Penn. Penn would later sell the land to town founder James Getty. The Kitchen is fully stocked with Pots and Pans, Baking and casserole dishes, plates, cups, bowls. glasses, Crock Pot and utensils. We also supply linens and start of paper products. The property will be clean when you arrive, however, there is no daily housekeeping service. Therefore, we respectfully request that you maintain the home in a neat and orderly fashion.
Early check in and late checkout (if possible) is $25.00 an hour.
We do have our Certificate of Use and Occupancy from the Gettysburg Borough and we are in Full Compliance with the PMCA.

Half a mile to Gettysburg College and a mile and a half from the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor's Center. A large variety of tours and experiences are half a mile away from the property.
When you are done exploring, let the Stratton House take care of you. Unique features include central air-conditioning, high-speed wireless internet, and a cable package featuring 150 Comcast stations and streaming capabilities. TVs are located in the living room and in two bedrooms.
We include comfortable bedding, extra pillows and plenty of towels. Enjoy family meals prepared in the fully equipped spacious kitchen. There is another one-bedroom unit on the South side of the house that is fully separate from this unit with a separate privacy fenced yard. The owners live in a third unit on the property that is also fully separate from your rental.

This is a very quiet church and residential neighborhood. We ask that you not hold parties or make loud outside noise after 9 PM. Also, we request that there is no loud noise or music inside the residence after 10 PM. These rules are in place for the comfort and security of all guests who visit us.
