"The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and tidied every day. However, there were often small cockroaches in the bathroom despite this, and some signs of wear and tear. The breakfast was delicious, and on one morning, we even received a packed lunch when we had to leave early. It was a very pleasant stay overall."

"The exterior is beautiful, so I initially thought it was built as a boutique hotel. However, now it feels more like a backpacker's hostel. It's not suitable for family travelers from Western countries. The sheets were clean, and the air conditioning worked fine, which was comfortable. The staff doesn't speak English, so a smartphone is essential for communication. The bathroom wasn't clean, and the drain had a lot of hair in it. There were many tiny bugs, about 1mm long, in the corners and on the floor, but they died after I sprayed them with the insect repellent I brought. The soap and shampoo dispensers were empty and hadn't been refilled. There was also no faucet on the sink. However, hot water was available, which was comfortable. The low price is its biggest appeal. I would stay here again."

"We stayed there for 4 nights from 29/10 and I am writing a feedback because I find the ones we can read here a little unfair or not up to date. Note that we were in wing D - 6th floor. Location: central. Cleanliness: perfect. Effective Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, even on the roof. Comfortable bed. Lots of choice for breakfast, even for Westerners. Nice swimming pool and its rooftop bar with a view of the whole city. You can even eat there and have dinner brought up. Pleasant staff and especially its manager who went out of his way to find us a scooter when there were no more at the rental companies. I would like to thank him for his extreme kindness."

"During my recent stay at The Garden Hotel in Gorontalo, Sulawesi, I had a mixed experience. The room itself was adequate for a one-night stay but fell short of expectations in several areas. The cleanliness of the room was somewhat lacking, which detracted from the overall comfort. Additionally, the design of the room seemed a bit ill-considered; the window faced a dark corridor, which was quite unusual and did little to add to the ambiance or brightness of the space. However, it wasn't all underwhelming. The hotel did shine when it came to the breakfast provided. The meal was a delightful and simple affair, featuring a delicious rice and chicken curry that was flavorful and satisfying. This aspect of my stay was undoubtedly the highlight and added a much-needed positive note to the experience. In conclusion, while The Garden Hotel offers a passable option for a brief stopover, it might not be the best choice for those seeking a more pristine or thoughtfully designed accommodation. The exceptional breakfast, however, is a redeeming feature that guests can look forward to."
