"We needed a place to stay before a flight. Niriides Palace was perfect, very clean and comfortable, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an arrangement with the hotel next door, so as our flight wasnt until early evening we were able to check out late and use the pool and bar for a fiver each, which was great."

Food was very good, staff amazing especially Alex the Manager very helpful and nice person Highly recommend this hotel, if you need something just ask and the hotel staff will do what they can to accommodate Near the beach which we love, will definitely return and it was a relaxing stay We had a power cut during one night and most of the day so we went to the beach until the power was back, this was an area issue. Few suggestions- mirror in the bedroom Milk for tea coffee in the room which is our preference, cost of drinks needs to be reviewed as it can work out costly cheaper to buy at the beach. Not the cheapest for accommodation"

"This hotel was such a great little find for us! It was quieter but very well maintained and looked after! Our room was cleaned regularly and we were tucked away which was really nice. My only gripe about the room was that it would have been nice to have a full length mirror 🪞 The location was good, there is approximately 5/6 restaurants and a small mini market along the front which are about a 5-10 minute walk (all flat ground) when you turn left out of the hotel on the front. If you carry on down that road to an abandoned building and go left, right to the end and go right on the main road, there's a plethora of more shops and restaurants (and a bigger supermarket). Turning right out the hotel, the main road is about a 15-20 minute walk away, there's an amazing little bakery just on the left when you get to the main road, and the bus stop is on the right! There were some reviews which mentioned a hill, the road towards the main road is relatively flat, but just before the main road there is about 10 seconds up a steeper bit (were mid 20s so that could change for anyone with mobility issues). The bus (coach) is super easy to get and comes about every 20 mins/half hour, its 4 euros to Heraklion when we went ☺️ The staff were so welcoming, George on reception was super helpful when we arrived (we got delayed), Joanna and George on the bar were so lovely and friendly, they really made for a great stay!! ❤️ The restaurants were really good as well, we went to In&Out, Ambrosia and Paximadi a couple of times, so definitely recommend! Some also have beaches with loungers on (spend 8 euros and you get a lounger) but we found a small beachy area that had a nice gradual access to the sea. If youre driving its so easy and accessible, if youre happy walking to the bus stop then its also fantastic! We met some great people, had an amazing time and would recommend Crete and this hotel to anyone!! ❤️"

"We had two wonderful weeks here. Our apartment was clean, spacious and modern. It was directly opposite the beach and sea and has great views. The host is very friendly & welcoming! Cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 7 days (for our honeymoon). we were looking for a hotel close to the sea and a little far from the hyper-touristy resorts... in this respect it is perfect (spacious room and very good bedding, great swimminpool). it is situated on a busy road, the nearest organised beach is about twenty minutes away on foot. We visited the heraklion region by opting for the intercity bus service...they stop right in front of the hotel :-) . Pleasant and attentive staff"

"We loved it here. The rooms were always clean. The foods were great but it was mostly the same things maybe it can be more different but it was great. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly and kind. The weather was perfect for us."

"This place was not what I hoped and it's not a 3 star. Our sheets and towels were stained (make up on towels; sheets and under- bedding unsure what the stain was). Was not a clean space. All spaces could use updating. Poor fixes around the suite. Yes, you have to pay 5€ for air conditioning, taking you back to the 80s. They give you one sheet to sleep with. Just yuck."
