"We stayed at the Aethos Saragano from June 9th to 14th, 2025 – with high expectations, as our previous stay at the Aethos Milan had been exceptional. Unfortunately, Saragano did not live up to this standard. Positive aspects to highlight: • The location is fantastic – absolutely quiet, surrounded by nature, with a magnificent view. • The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. • The cuisine in the restaurant was excellent – ​​both in terms of taste and atmosphere. However, there were many shortcomings that do not live up to the premium standards of the Aethos brand: 1. Incorrect room allocation: We booked an apartment with a washing machine – we were initially given a different room. The change was only made the following day. 2. Room condition: Both accommodations appeared dated and not commensurate with their price point. 3. Kitchen equipment: The kitchenette was outdated, with crooked cabinet doors (photo available). Maintenance seems to be lacking. 4. Minibar: There were expired drinks in the minibar. 5. Pool area: Beautifully situated, but without staff or service – just a small refrigerator with a very limited selection. 6. Dining: No continuous restaurant service, no snacks or light meals during the day – unusual for a resort of this category. 7. Shower: Just a simple hose – not up to Aethos standards. 8. Common areas: The beautiful terrace with a view remained unused – no service, no bar, only managed by reception. 9. Power outage: The power went out while the kettle and dishwasher were being used simultaneously. 10. Air conditioning: In one room, it could only be operated by plugging and unplugging; in the other, it was noisy and significantly disturbed sleep. Conclusion: The property is visually impressive and has a lot of potential – but the operation seemed generally unmanaged. Neither the service nor the amenities were consistent. It lacked the sense of ease and care that we experienced in Milan. Comparable accommodations in the region (e.g., an Airbnb for CHF 134/night) offered similar standards in practice – but at significantly lower prices. In retrospect, we paid primarily for the setting – not for a cohesive overall experience. We sent our feedback directly to Aethos via email – unfortunately, without any response. 2 out of 5 stars."

"After spending several holidays in Tuscany we decided to give Umbria a go and La Ghrilanda looked like a perfect fit for a quiet trip. We found it to be a very quiet place with within relatively easy driving distance to other towns and villages. There were few sounds other than nature itself to interfere with your time. We booked a room in a separate building made up of two units that quite what we'd expected as it was rather small with little place to set our luggage and still move around. After three nights and visiting most of the surrounding towns ~ Spello, Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Deruta, Montefalco, Foligno and a few others decided to move on even though we had paid for seven days. I think that if we'd stayed in the main building we might have stayed longer but it all worked out well. We did not get back any of our money as we checked out early of our own accord which is understandable. All the staff were very personable and helpful with any requests from check in to departure. The atmosphere is very casual which makes for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were really good with a wide selection of foods ~ no need to go hungry at all! The evening meals which needed to be reserved ahead of time were exceptional. Probably the best, truly Italian meal, I've ever had and the service again, was really great. The grounds are well kept but you know you are in the country which is to be expected as it is an agriturisomo. Would I stay again ~ yes, but as mentioned, it would have to be a room in the main building."

"The Agriturismo located between olive groves and grape vines lies just a couple of km from San Terenziano. The grounds were spacious and welcoming. Andrea, the host, spoke fluent English, and the entire staff communicated with ease. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was a hit with the kids. The complete breakfast was a hit with the adults. Lunch and dinner were easy to order on the premises and very tasty to boot! This is a great option for families and groups looking to stay in a single building. The price was very reasonable for our stay. "

"The castle is a special location, there is a new management, and everything seemed perfect to me, the pool was wonderful, the breakfast complete and relaxing, the staff very friendly and always available.
