"It was a very nice experience, we spent the Year with them celebrating it inside the building, and the party was very nice with a worthy dinner. The Relais is very beautiful and clean, excellent cleaning and the rooms are all comforts. The spa is well-made and very large, unique suggestion and pay more attention to management because we found the water massage bath at a temperature that made it unusable. All staff friendly and available, good. Good breakfast"

"The hotel is situated amongst a really sweet, small Italian village. Our room was lovely - modern and clean with amazing views and the breakfast we had was also great. We were however a bit disappointed to find out that the restaurant was closed on Mondays (and there is nowhere else in walking distance) which we thought should have been made more clear upon booking. The staff were however very helpful in saving us some food from their lunchtime service. The only other thing we were disappointed with was the pool - despite it's lovely setting it was full of locals (a family of around 15 people) which coupled with the overwhelming amount of mosquitos, made it less relaxing than we had hoped. I would go back but think there could be some improvements or better communication."

"After spending several holidays in Tuscany we decided to give Umbria a go and La Ghrilanda looked like a perfect fit for a quiet trip. We found it to be a very quiet place with within relatively easy driving distance to other towns and villages. There were few sounds other than nature itself to interfere with your time. We booked a room in a separate building made up of two units that quite what we'd expected as it was rather small with little place to set our luggage and still move around. After three nights and visiting most of the surrounding towns ~ Spello, Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Deruta, Montefalco, Foligno and a few others decided to move on even though we had paid for seven days. I think that if we'd stayed in the main building we might have stayed longer but it all worked out well. We did not get back any of our money as we checked out early of our own accord which is understandable. All the staff were very personable and helpful with any requests from check in to departure. The atmosphere is very casual which makes for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were really good with a wide selection of foods ~ no need to go hungry at all! The evening meals which needed to be reserved ahead of time were exceptional. Probably the best, truly Italian meal, I've ever had and the service again, was really great. The grounds are well kept but you know you are in the country which is to be expected as it is an agriturisomo. Would I stay again ~ yes, but as mentioned, it would have to be a room in the main building."

"Lovely country setting, well located for visiting Assisi, Orvieto, local wineries. etc. The restaurant is amazing- excellent breakfast and world class dinners in a family friendly setting. The staff are also amazing. The rooms are a bit rustic but comfortable and most have a kitchenette. Nice pool if you just want to relax and have a "down day" on your tours! Highly recommendec!"
