"We had high hopes for this hotel but we're left disappointed. The hotel itself is very nice could do with the heating being turned down it was a wet day outside but the halls were roasting. First reception was frosty room very nice no dressing gowns tho. Our meal in the bar was good but the crispy pork belly starter was very disappointing 2 bals with a cold relish not really what was described. Waiting staff were very nice. Breakfast was poor and again a frosty welcome then too. And upon checking out not even a safe journey or thanks for staying.So in summary beautiful hotel but left feeling disappointed."

"We were a last minute booking after finding 27 Redcar road guisborough an absolute mess looked like some down out was living there and won’t refund disgrace . But The Fox gave us a room the price was very good and the room was immaculate ! Staff amazing landlord was very friendly and friendly , we will surely use The Fox again beware of the other at all costs . "Met up for a family meal following the sad occasion of a family funeral. The owner and staff were really kind and helpful and the evening was very pleasant despite the sad circumstances. The food was plentiful , hot and good and the drinks reasonably priced. The evening went well and we were the last to leave!"
