"We had high hopes for this hotel but we're left disappointed. The hotel itself is very nice could do with the heating being turned down it was a wet day outside but the halls were roasting. First reception was frosty room very nice no dressing gowns tho. Our meal in the bar was good but the crispy pork belly starter was very disappointing 2 bals with a cold relish not really what was described. Waiting staff were very nice. Breakfast was poor and again a frosty welcome then too. And upon checking out not even a safe journey or thanks for staying.So in summary beautiful hotel but left feeling disappointed."

"Very comfortable stay, room was clean and tidy, beds really comfy we stayed in the family room because I wanted a bath, plenty of hot water and towels. Staff friendly and helpful only one minor criticism a bedside light would have been handy other than that couldn't fault it. Very quiet despite being on a main road."

"Met up for a family meal following the sad occasion of a family funeral. The owner and staff were really kind and helpful and the evening was very pleasant despite the sad circumstances. The food was plentiful , hot and good and the drinks reasonably priced. The evening went well and we were the last to leave!"
