GGuest UserPros- property was good well maintained, staff was humble and well behaved. Breakfast was good.rooms were well maintained, neat and tidy.
Cons- therir was no ventilation in the room. Enclosed windows ( can provide provision of air circulation by fixing mosquitos or insects net. In bathroom their was leakage in washbasin, should provide atleast one ceiling fan. Road which leads to the property from the mainroad should be made or atleast fixed it with some pavment tiles.

GGuest UserPlace is awesome , lawn beside the room is superb, only drawback is the location as it is a little far from main area, so every time you have to book a cab to go anywhere. other than that just loved the place. it is actually cooler than other places in OOTY because of it's height.

GGuest UserThe property is located in a very nice place close to all tourist attaractions. The palace turned into a hotel is a must visit. The rooms take you back the kings era, giving you the nostalgic feel. The rooms are well furnished with antique furniture, paintungs and carpets. The hotel is owned by the wadayar group. The thing which i noticed that stands out is that they have not appointed professionally trained staff. But the staff all are very courteous and helpful. They have been retained for over 3 decades each which shows how good the employers are. Over all the property is a must visit to get the royal feel. Great job done by the staff.

1. Staffs are very friendly and courteous
2. Ample amount of parking space
3. Hotel is almost at the top of the hill, due to which you get an amazing view of ooty city
4. Food is awesome
5. They provide every toiletry kit including shaving set
6. Very neat and tidy rooms
7. I stayed at room#124 and this had an amazing view of the helipad and then the ooty city
8. Unlike other hotels, the rooms opening towards the helipad has an extra room for dinner and small party (kind of unexpected but enjoyed a lot)
9. I read some review about being old-fashioned, untidy and damped rooms but let me tell you this, its an old hotel but they have really taken care of it and provided you with everything that you need to have a pleasant stay. Don't go with other reviews, i have visited ooty countless times and stayed in many hotels but this one will give you peace of mind! cons:
nothing i noticed or experienced during my stay
