Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa
"The rooms are very spacious, onsen baths are wide and there’s even an outdoor one. The receptionists are very polite and patient with us who can’t speak Japanese clearly. There’s free parking and you can park at any of the empty spaces"
HOTEL MEIJIYA
"I had a very pleasant stay. My room was upgraded, and since they were also hosting a group, they informed me of the available breakfast times in advance. I also used the bath on the top floor twice, once in the evening and once in the morning. Everything I needed was there, and the timing was perfect, so I had it all to myself. The men's and women's baths are switched, and shampoo and other amenities are replaced at the same time. This is the first time I've seen such a thoughtful hotel. The women's bath has an electronic lock, which is another great feature. Breakfast is a set menu rather than a buffet, and I think preparing enough for each person reduces food waste, which I preferred. When I requested a shuttle to Hamamatsu Station in the morning, the driver asked whether I wanted the north or south exit, and he took me to the south exit, which is close to the Shinkansen ticket gates. It's a little far from the station, so it might be difficult with a large suitcase, but the comfortable stay more than made up for it."
Okura Act City Hotel Hamamatsu
"Nice stay with nice scenery from top view of the hotel"
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hamamatsu
"Good location. Very near to the train station, and lots of food nearby. Room are quiet and clean. The only complain I have is the speed of the lift. At times you might got to wait for awhile."
EN Hotel Hamamatsu
"Location was great"
Comfort Hotel Hamamatsu
"Close to the train station, love the spread at breakfast. Room was basic but the extras are worth the stay."
Kajimachinoyu Spa Solani
"Very good and quiet facilities and a great place to be for a few nights. The included entry to the spa is really cool, considering the costs for the stay!"
Hamanako Bentenjima Resort the Ocean
"The hotel is in a wonderful location. The only downside is the overpass outside the Tori Gate. Dinner was delicious and varied. Gyoza, eel, lots of fish. Breakfast was simpler. Lots of transit tourists from China. Bicycles are available for rent."
Richmond Hotel Hamamatsu
""We had a wonderful stay! The staff were fantastic, the room was comfortable, and the location provided beautiful views"

Hotel Listel Hamanako
"I really like this hotel. It's by the lake, and you can watch the sunrise. The corridors in the rooms are a bit like the cabin design on a ship, which is very unique. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, which are very convenient and rich, especially the grilled eel, which the Japanese also eat like crazy..."
Hotel Harvest Hamanako
"To be honest, it felt a bit worn out. However, the view of Lake Okuhama is nice, there's a large public bath, the rooms are spacious, and for 14,000 yen for a lakefront Japanese-Western style room with breakfast for one night for single occupancy, I thought it was a reasonable price. The poor service from the staff that was mentioned in past reviews seems to have improved, and I didn't have any particular problems. I had a fancy lunch, so I didn't think I could finish a course dinner at the hotel restaurant, and I didn't include dinner in my reservation, but there was a vending machine corner in the building with snacks and instant noodles, which I used conveniently. By the way, there are no convenience stores nearby. The breakfast seemed to have been recently renovated and was at the level of a city hotel. However, it was disappointing that the only dish available was French toast, despite it being called a "live kitchen." A normal live kitchen would have a lineup of omelets, fried eggs, and eggs Benedict, right? Also...the grout between the floor tiles in the bathroom in my room was covered in mold. I used the public bath, so I didn't mind the bathroom in my room, but it was still a bit too unsanitary. Since most guests use the public bath, the cleaning of the in-room baths might be a bit haphazard. While there were a few drawbacks, the great view more than made up for it, hence the 3-star rating."
Hotel Route-Inn Hamamatsu Eki Higashi
"It’s all right. The building is a little “aged”."
Hamanako Lakeside Plaza
"We had a wonderful trip. The hotel's location was perfect and convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, which we greatly appreciated. It was truly great value for money, and my friend and I had a comfortable night's rest. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we come."
Hotel Leon Hamamatsu
"The room is very smelly with cigarettes smell even though I've sprayed the air fresher many times. The hotel seems a bit old, and I felt the bathtub is smaller compared to others which around the same range. The lobby is nice but the room seems the opposite. Amenities wise they provided a lot of choices at the lobby and you can just choose yourself."
North garden the Kuretakeso
"Very good hotel."
Hamamatsu Hotel
"The staff were very kind and even helped my husband, who uses a cane, with the breakfast buffet, which was a great help. It's close to the station but in a quiet location, and there's a convenience store right in front, which is very convenient. I would recommend it to my friends."
Hotel Sui Hamamatsu by Abest
"I stayed alone. The front desk staff and dining area were relatively polite, which I thought was great. The small evening snack service and breakfast were both reasonable and just right for someone like me. The room was clean and quiet, and I was able to relax. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the view from the window of the neighboring building. When I was leaving, the person seeing me off was very polite and gave me directions, and I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again if I visit Hamamatsu again."
Hotel Route-Inn Hamamatsu Nishi Inter
"I like to stay at Route Inn business hotels whenever possible because the breakfast and the large public bath are attractive. On this day, the restaurant only offered take-out in the evening, which was a bit disappointing, but since it is near the interchange, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so I was able to spend the night without any problems. I went to Hama Sushi, which is right next door, but it may be a busy spot. I ended up waiting quite a while, so that may be something to be aware of. The hotel is of the usual Route Inn quality, and there are no problems at all."
Hamanako Bentenjima Onsen Family Hotel Kaisyunro
"We stayed with two people. The room was spacious and the location was great. However, we were disappointed that there was some noise on the TV, making it difficult to see, and that the open-air bath was under construction. Breakfast was included, but the price was reasonable."
Hotel Wellseason Hamanako
"The dinner buffet is really good with great variety of food. The onsen is really nice as well."
Wan Wan Paradise Hamanako
"The hotel welcomes many guests with furry pets—petting them is a bonus. It's a charming hotel in a traditional Japanese style. I thoroughly unwinded in the onsen in the evening."
Arashi no Yakata
"Very clean, I will choose it next time"
