Yadori Onsen Iyashinoyu ★★

"The onsen owner picked us up from Koyasan and brought us back for free. The staff was very polite, friendly, and attentive, the breakfast was delicious, the cottage itself was very large, and the futons were soft and warm. The view from the window was fantastic! Unfortunately, we didn't go into the onsen itself. If you have tattoos, be sure to bring patches for them. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and you can take a stroll. It felt very peaceful. We also bought fresh tangerines and some treats for the trip. We highly recommend it! We communicated with the staff via email and in person in English, and everything was great!"

"Even though the room is simple it is clean and has a private bathroom, AC. Ample parking for motorcycles and cars. Check in is at 1600 and I arrived at 1500. The old man at the counter allowed me to check in early."

Kiimiso ★★★
"Our room was on the second floor, and the window faced the outdoor unit of the air conditioner on the roof of the first floor. I wanted to change to a room on the third floor. Two Vietnamese people were at the front desk. They said that the third floor was full of dirty rooms, so they finally took me to the third floor. A small room, which is clean at all, but much smaller than my original room. He also said that the window of my room looked up to the mountains. I wanted to eat in the evening, but I couldn't find one without making a reservation in advance. I walked 1.5 kilometers to a restaurant on the main road opposite a gas station. Breakfast is a big pickle party. The hotel is in a good location, in the mountains, not far from the train station. However, the two Vietnamese front desk staff have a very bad attitude, and the breakfast is not satisfactory. A good hotel is a waste of money."

"I booked this hotel in Hashimoto, at the foot of Mount Koya, as I was planning a trip there. It's a bit of a walk, about 20 minutes from Kii-Yamada Station if you're traveling on foot, but it's also about 20 minutes to Gakumonji, and for the price, it was a good find. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding food or essentials. About a 10-minute walk away, you'll find the natural hot spring, Yunosato, and the Jinnojo Beer Brewery right next to it, where you can enjoy some delicious beer and relax in the onsen. On the morning of my checkout, rain was forecast, and I was so touched when the owner kindly offered to drive me to the nearest station. The room seemed to have been renovated; it was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place."
