"We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Boat. We stayed in room 4, it was so well appointed and restful. Even plenty of space when we unexpectedly had to have our son stay for 2 of the 3 nights; all staff were helpful and obliging in this situation, and the additional family rate very reasonable. Breakfasts and dinners were a delight. It was fun to be able to see the chefs at work, and the kitchen shop a little treasure trove of joy...I'm just gutted we live too far away to eat there more! We will be recommending both restaurant and hotel to friends and family. All staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful, from housekeeping to front of house. We hope to come back sometime. "The view was not so nice, the room only got cleaned half the time i was there 2 out of 4 nights, the toilet was dirty sink blocked, and breakfast took 35 mins on day 1 for toast and bacon, so had to leave. wouldn't go back to see the view below. ps they said they would get the manager to call me, of course this never happened so i wrote my review."
