"We were staying with our dog for 4 days in apartment number 3. The building is modern and our apartment was clean. In 3 rooms (bathroom, bedroom and kitchen/lounge room) we spent our evenings and felt quite well. For our dogs even a bed and a snap were ready - great! For our purposes, the apartment of the Next was completely sufficient, especially as it is quite centrally located near the beach promenade and the shopping street. There are only a few steps to the next stairs to the top. There are small deductions in the area of cool-white, not dimable deck lighting, where indirect warm-white light might still be very nice. The kitchen table was really quite small and a play evening with food and drink on the table is rather difficult (and there is actually no oven). In addition, glass, coating and box repairs are rather sporadic, so there is still a potential for improvement in these places, where the operator can definitely do something. Therefore, the room would be for us in autumn/winter if you probably want to spend time inside/no need to spend anything at the moment. ＞＞ The accommodation is not accessible, for rooms 1 & 2 you need to raise 2 steps and the other rooms can only be reached by relatively steep and narrow stairs. A wheelchair does not fit to the bathroom. Nevertheless, you have certainly a clean, dog-friendly accommodation in beautiful location :) Thank you for the beautiful days :)"

"We wanted to spend one night on Helgoland in order to avoid the daytime tourist hordes on our walk around the island. Hotel Helgolandia was centrally located and reasonably budget-friendly. It's about a 20-minute walk from the ferry port, and if you have a lot of luggage, there is a delivery option offered by the ferry service. Since check-in was not until 3 pm we had lunch at the hotel's Asian restaurant before making our way to the nearby Helgoländer Botschaft which handles the check-in and check-out for a variety of properties. Rather inconvenient when a ferry-load of visitors arrives/departs. We had an attic room up three flights of stairs, no lift. The room, though compact, was great, with a well-thought-out layout and by all appearances freshly renovated. Large windows let in plenty of daylight, although there was no view to rave about. There was only one small mirror, and this was in the bathroom which had no power outlet to plug in the supplied hair dryer. We did not pre-book breakfast, but you could have it in the restaurant downstairs. However, just a few steps away was a bakery where you could put together your own basic breakfast at much less cost. If we were to return to Helgoland we would be happy to stay again in an attic room at this hotel."
