"Absolutely incredible hotel. The room is very spacious and it is very conveniently located right by the beach. The ocean views are incredible. The amenities are top-notch, the fridge contained still and sparkling water, the hotel had great heating options, the staff even filled our hot water bottles for us while we were away. The staff were very attentive, even going so far as to follow our habits and patterns to cater the room specifically to our needs. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in staying in hermanus."

The staff also organised an earlier-than-usual breakfast for me as I had to leave early for a golf tournament - this was much appreciated. I look forward to revisiting this quaint and inviting guesthouse in the near future."

"The nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed in by far in the entire world. Super clean, modern facilities. More like a posh hotel with shared bathrooms than a backpackers. Check in is at the hotel they are owned by I think, just a few doors down from Zzzone. Your bags are transported to your room by the bell hop and they give you a welcome drink. Sea views from the deck and your own mini fridge in your room."

"We had an awesome 2 day break. The breakfast was good . Only complaint was that when we arrived at the breakfast area our yoghurt and fruit was already on the table… that was great but almost immediately after we’ve had our yoghurt our main breakfast dish was served. I feel the waiter should have come to ask us if we’re ready to eat. On our 2 nd morning I asked them to give us some time before serving the main. Overall we had a fabulous time though it was just for 2, nights. Will definitely go back."

"The location is perfect and the rooms excellent. The guest house is small enough to be intimate, but also large enough not to be crowded. Enjoyed the bar facilities while sitting on the veranda with a perfect sea view. We heard very little street noise. In addition, we had a problem with my car, but the staff went out of their way to find someone who could assist. Will definitely return."

"The Grand Lux Boutique was an excellent experience. We stayed 3 nights, in a sumptuous room. I was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews, but these seem to be several years out of date - I believe the hotel was refurbished a year or so ago. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel was being run by Janisha, who was unfailingly helpful in recommending restaurants, making bookings, calling taxis for us and suggesting where to go: she really added to the experience. As to the hotel itself, it is difficult to describe it in a few words. It is a mixture of totally up to date modern and antiques and history: take care or you will bump into a bronze statue! It is an eclectic, some might say eccentric, mixture of new and old, a personal interior design project for the owner (who also has a safari lodge): conventionally it should not work, but it does! If you want chic ultra-modern minimalism, this is not for you, but if you like somewhere quirky, friendly and very unusual as well as being top drawer quality, you could do worse than give this a try. As to location, it is on the clifftop path about 20 minutes' easy walk from the town and its wonderful restaurants, or an inexpensive taxi in the evenings. It was not whale season, but during the SA winter months, there could be fantastic views from the hotel itself - they even have a spotting scope set up for guests to use. If we do come back to Hermanus for the whales, this is where we will stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hermanus Lodge on the Green and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hermanus. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm and personal welcome. The host took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel at home straight away. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras such as complimentary bottled water, a small carafe of port wine, and comfortable bathrobes. These little touches made our stay feel truly special. The breakfast was outstanding. Guests can choose from an à la carte menu while also enjoying a small breakfast buffet with a variety of additional options. Everything was fresh, well presented, and delicious. Another feature we really liked was the honesty bar system. Guests can help themselves to drinks at any time, simply record what they have taken and settle the bill at check-out. It creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The secure gated parking area was also a great advantage and gave us complete peace of mind. Hermanus Lodge on the Green combines comfort, hospitality and attention to detail in a way that is increasingly rare to find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future. Highly recommended!"

"The house was easy to find. When ringing the bell a friendly lady opens the gate and introduced herself. She guided us ( three couples) to our rooms which were superb, really spacious and on the last modern stage of art. The views on the sea were stunning, The whole house was top modern and build with high value material by perfect handcrafts men. The security feeling was 100% (if this is possible) as we received remote control for the outside gate, PIN codes for the entrance door of the house and PIN codes for every room. The offered breakfast plus buffet was fantastic. The stuff was very supportive and friendly. There were no problem but only solutions. We had a fantastic stay there."

The service is exceptional, and we would like to give a special thank you to Brighton and his team. He and hiss team takes care of everything, which makes the stay wonderful. The hotel rooms are very cozy, and the ocean view is unforgettable! We were lucky enough to see a whale fin the other day! Great! Breakfast is delicious, and we are already looking forward to our next stay. The four nights passed so quickly that we decided to come back as soon as possible."
