"Stayed here for our Christmas skiing break, had a fab time. Hotel very clean and comfortable, staff excellent and attentive in every department from the reception, bars, restaurant and room staff. Spa area was lovely with nice robes and towels. We couldn’t fault the place."

"This is without doubt, the most stylish, cool hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived late and they could not have been more professional and accommodating. It is not at all flash or aimed at the Gucci/Rolex brigade, but if you want style and quality this place is faultless. They undersell themselves which sums the place up. Uber cool. Oh, and the predominantly female staff are just the best."

"My wife and I were looking for something relaxing and comfortable, somewhere we could really feel at ease. We found it! Upon check-in, we were greeted by Giovanni with a big smile and a warm welcome! Our room was great, very clean and comfortable, I am a bit picky about the bed, but this one was comfortable enough for a few nights. The view from our balcony was superb! and I sat out there many mornings and evenings and just enjoyed the quiet and the clean fresh mountain air! The food was amazing as well! Breakfast was not typical, as there was more served here than in the last 5 star hotel I stayed in. And it was great, rolls, fresh baked breads, jams, cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, many different milks, fried eggs, and my favorite was the scrambled eggs and the bacon next to it, very good food! The decor is traditional, but with a modern flair, it looks just great, and really gives you an inviting and warm feeling! Dinner was also amazing, one night we had a grill buffet night, one night a soup fondue, and every night a 5 course meal! Everybody who worked there was super friendly, and we are already planning our next trip to this wonderful place! btw ... the location is fantastic, and within walking distance to .... well, everything in this town, its a small town but still, its a great location! A grocery store down the road, but you will not need to buy food if you get the half board! They feed you way more than enough! Water from the tap is okay. Coffee is good, but I am a coffee snob, so that's on me. I really have no complaints here at all, even the other guests were nice! We will be going back, that is a definite!"

"Restaurant / dinner was good. The staff was unfriendly. We went to dinner twice and every time the same unfriendlyness. The establishment itself was fun and pleasant on the terrace that has made some good. For me to never again."

"Recently back from a family ski trip staying at Hotel Almrausch. Small family run hotel which was spotlessly clean. The location of this hotel simply could not have been any better. Its literally 15 steps away from a t bar lift which is accessed from a side door with lift directly from the boot/ski locker room. Rooms were very clean and the showers were fantastic pressure and very hot. Lighting could have been a bit brighter in the bedrooms but not a big problem. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were just the right level of attentive. The only downside for us was the bar area is not very big and as we were in three seperate bedrooms, there wasnt really anywhere to sit together in the evenings. Again not a big problem as we were all so tired from the days skiing, we went to bed fairly early. The bedrooms are very well sound insulated and we didnt hear any noise from other hotel guests (including our noisy son in the next door room!) The spa area was a very nice bonus after a days skiing although it was requested that you didnt wear swimming costumes in there. Realise this is an Austrian thing and you should embrace it, which my husband did but I just didnt feel comfortable with it so stayed in costume! but sat on towels which there was an ample amount of in spa area. Obviously being a small hotel, it might not have had as many facilites as one of the many larger hotels in the resort but think the difference with it was the service, which I just dont believe you get in a large hotel. The ski area of Hinterglemm and Saalbach is fantastic. So many lifts and runs. Think our longest queue was 1 minute but then we wasnt there in half term! Overall, I would 100% recommend this hotel. Thankyou to all the staff who made our family ski trip a very enjoyable one."

"Edelweiss is a very beautiful hotel, nicely renovated, the rooms are just perfect. And so are the pool and wellness, very well done! The experiences with the staff varied; from friendly and very helpful (waiters!) to some a bit stoic and reserved at hotel-desk. Breakfast was superb! Dinner varied in quality, from absolute dessert joy and treats of meat to not so good sushi and fish. Glutenfree dinner was sometimes challenging, at some point a plate of polenta was presented as dinner. It would have been nice to know up front from the hotel desk that we could ask for glutenfree possibilities with kitchen staff directly, we now learned along the way that kitchen staff was flexible and could make good effort on the glutenfree part, glutenfree kaiserschmarnn was a treat! So communication from hotel desk(with rest of staff?) would be my point of attention. A special mention of the housekeeping staff; we saw them mopping the floors a lot, since the snowboots were bringing a lot of snow, the amount of effort that is put into the cleanliness is commendable, respect! A big thank you to all the staff for a great week at Edelweiss!"

"At the end of a valley, isolated but with some good views. Basic small room and rather Travelodge/Premier Inn style, Didn’t get quiet room requested, very noisy above. On the balcony you can breath in the smoke from the terrace smokers. Lots of children here, not an ideal couples environment. restaurant average with average food, there is an a’la carte menu but nothing on it seems to be available! Left 2 days earlier than expected. Not impressed."

"Wonderfull experience from start to finish. In beautiful setting that Hinterglemm is, hotel’s interior provides cozy and warm yet elegant atmosphere, combining traditional alpine charm with modern amenities. Rooms are very nice and spacious with all needed amenities (we specially liked spring water tap in the room). One of the highlights of our stay was the food and the wonderfull atmosphere in the restaurant - it did not feel like tipical hotel restaurant, more like dinning out. Breakfast and afternoon snack (was much more than just a snack really :) were also great, offering wide choice of meals. Attention to details is visible everywhere, from candle lights all over the reception, bar and restaurant area, aroma diffusors instead of artifical perfumes, Uno cards on each table, high quality food with also many healthy additions like for example stevia, vitamin C, zeolith, different natural supplements…) Electronic game table was a hit among kids. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We have to specially mention Selma who was highly proffesional and skilled, but also so warm and kind at the same time, as well as Croatian waiters and cook. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We will highly recommend it and will definitely return."

"Upscale design and a professional warm welcoming of us when we got there set the tone. There was a fancy spa-area with heated outdoor pool (30° when we stayed) and one sauna with nice view of the mountain. (No view from the pool though, i dont know why they made it like that but still rly nice..) two more saunas and misc spa-ish rooms in the basement. The room we slept in was clean and pretty. We hade"bad luck" with a view straight into a wall as some other ppl here mentioned but who cares, we were in the slopes or in the spa all the time anyway so does'nt really matter that much to me. Fresh and clean breakfast. Shuttle service for going with ski-gear to/from the slopes was a great service! 4,5/5 would stay again. Ski-locker was pretty small and did not have sufficient heating tubes to make our stuff dry over night. No radiators or other means of drying your ski boots, gloves or spa-clothes in your room (or anywhere at all) take away 0,5 points. Also saunas are too hot at 90°.. Still, for me, this is a top tier stay, any day! :)"
