Hotel Glücksschmiede - Hinterglemm
"This is our second time here over New Year and we love it. Great family run hotel, wonderful breakfast, restaurant and pool/spa area. We love the homely feel of the hotel - staff are very friendly and accommodating helping with booking taxis etc."
Wiesergut
"The hotel is beautifully designed and creates a calming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. However, the experience quickly declines. I had high expectations after a recommendation to stay here, but it was a disappointment. The staff were polite, but the hotel is massively understaffed. Reception was closed for large parts of the day, and the bar and lounge area were often empty. There were signs at reception directing guests to find staff at the bar, only to find another sign directing them to reception. The spa areas are small, and the pools were chilly. There were limited loungers and seating areas. Room cleaning was basic at best, which was disappointing given the price point. The food was high quality, but the options were limited. Overall, I wouldn’t return to this hotel, but I appreciate its beauty."

"Be warned - tried to charge us double for ham and cheese toasties. We didn’t stay, just stopped for lunch which was average. At the end when we came to pay the waiter bought us the bill and the toasties we had ordered were double the price what they were in the menu. I tried to challenge him and he was saying we hadn’t paid for two drinks when in fact they actually owed us money. The manager came over and sorted but it was all a bit embarrassing and unnecessary."
Thomsn Central Hotel & Appartements
"We were very happy to stay at the THOMSN Hotel in Hinterglemm, but the room was not clean at the arrival: there were even M&Ms of previous guests on the floor. The bathroom/douche is also inaccurately furnished, because during the shower, the water is going through the door to the room, making everything wet. The room is also very hearful: when guests walk through the corridor, you hear literally speaking word for word; and all things in the room are clearly outdated, and not more of this time. What we do not understand: no coffee maker or even no water cooker in the room. For a price of €389,- per night you expect a totally different standard this is really too expensive for what you get. The staff at check-in was also very unfriendly, which immediately started badly. The only positive point was that breakfast was well-regulated. Unfortunately breakfast and location cannot compensate the rest. The wellness was also contrary: the sauna and the swimming pool are so small that it does not fit to the size of a large hotel."
Hotel Almrausch
"Just returned from a brilliant stay at this lovely hotel. It is situated at the quieter end of Hinterglemm which suited us perfectly as not bothered but any noise but just a short walk to the Gondolas or you can hop on the drag lift next door. The ski bus to Saalbach is also stops just across the street. Our room was a little small and could perhaps benefit from a bit more storage but it was very cosy, had an amazing shower and was cleaned to a fantastic standard every single day. The wellness area is very relaxing with 2 saunas, an infrared cabin and a steam room. I liked to get there early and most days had it to myself which was bliss. The food was excellent and the staff worked extremely hard to get everyone fed promptly. We especially enjoyed the buffet evenings. The hotel is also making great use of technology with touch screen lifts and smart tvs in the room. The ski room is very large and you get a secure locker per room. Thanks for a lovely stay and if we found ourselves in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay again."
Hotel Edelweiss
"Absolutely great hotel, great location! Very nice rooms, comfortable beds, excellent shower. Outstanding breakfast, everything so fresh and delicious. The rooms were totally spotless and so beautiful. Great pool area on top floor, with exquisite view."
Hotel Residenz Hochalm
"Perfect hotel for relaxation after a long mountain tour. Great service, friendly staff, food varied and of very good quality. The rooms were clean, although the tape floor itself is not necessarily modern. Wonderful sauna area with enough room, there was fruit, water and tea. All in all we had a very pleasant stay. We would like to come back!"
Alpin Juwel - Bio Und Lifestylehotel
"The general hotel is lovely, wonderful spa and relaxing area, couldn't be faulted. Good size room. Super breakfast with lots of healthy choices and afternoon tea very good. BUT thought very poor to be charged 6 euros for a bottle of water with the evening meal, coffee machines covered and no coffee offered with the afternoon tea or evening meal. Very poor for a 4 star supreme hotel. Also the evening meal was just so repetitive with fish, pizza or pasta, 5 out of the 7 nights. No other choice at all and the fish portion was so small it was like a starter. Itty bitty food. This evening meal very much let the hotel down and not the usual high standard food we have experienced in Austria. This really does drop it one star and when questioned with the staff told this was the way they did things."
Glemm by Avenida Incl Joker Card
"The hotel has a great location for outdoor enthusiasts, very close to cable cars leading to two different hills. The Joker Card is included and can be used twice per day for bikes as well as passengers, however you need to register through an app first. There is no bike storage or changing room, but there is an outdoor bike wash, and bikes can also be rented directly from the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, with many options and a great juice maker. However, during the last 20 minutes of breakfast time, items like yogurt or oranges are often missing and not refilled. It can also get crowded at peak hours, and sometimes you may have to wait for a free table. In contrast, the dinner buffet is quite limited. Only a small salad bar, bread is not always available or refilled, butter is offered only to some tables and we only got it one evening. A selection of cheeses, olives, or sun-dried tomatoes would make a big improvement. The staff are friendly and fast, but there seem to be too few of them for the size of the hotel. The spa area is pleasant, with an outdoor sauna and nice relaxation spaces, but it could be cleaned more regularly, it seems there is no staff member constantly maintaining it. However, charging 25 € per person to access the spa on the last day feels excessive. The rooms are very comfortable, with beautiful views and balconies, plus a small kitchen and coffee machine, which is a great bonus. Overall, this is a nice 4-star hotel, definitely not a 4-star superior. However, the price–performance is reasonable."
