"The hotel has a great location for outdoor enthusiasts, very close to cable cars leading to two different hills. The Joker Card is included and can be used twice per day for bikes as well as passengers, however you need to register through an app first. There is no bike storage or changing room, but there is an outdoor bike wash, and bikes can also be rented directly from the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, with many options and a great juice maker. However, during the last 20 minutes of breakfast time, items like yogurt or oranges are often missing and not refilled. It can also get crowded at peak hours, and sometimes you may have to wait for a free table. In contrast, the dinner buffet is quite limited. Only a small salad bar, bread is not always available or refilled, butter is offered only to some tables and we only got it one evening. A selection of cheeses, olives, or sun-dried tomatoes would make a big improvement. The staff are friendly and fast, but there seem to be too few of them for the size of the hotel. The spa area is pleasant, with an outdoor sauna and nice relaxation spaces, but it could be cleaned more regularly, it seems there is no staff member constantly maintaining it. However, charging 25 € per person to access the spa on the last day feels excessive. The rooms are very comfortable, with beautiful views and balconies, plus a small kitchen and coffee machine, which is a great bonus. Overall, this is a nice 4-star hotel, definitely not a 4-star superior. However, the price–performance is reasonable."

"Stayed here for our Christmas skiing break, had a fab time. Hotel very clean and comfortable, staff excellent and attentive in every department from the reception, bars, restaurant and room staff. Spa area was lovely with nice robes and towels. We couldn’t fault the place."

"Edelweiss is a very beautiful hotel, nicely renovated, the rooms are just perfect. And so are the pool and wellness, very well done! The experiences with the staff varied; from friendly and very helpful (waiters!) to some a bit stoic and reserved at hotel-desk. Breakfast was superb! Dinner varied in quality, from absolute dessert joy and treats of meat to not so good sushi and fish. Glutenfree dinner was sometimes challenging, at some point a plate of polenta was presented as dinner. It would have been nice to know up front from the hotel desk that we could ask for glutenfree possibilities with kitchen staff directly, we now learned along the way that kitchen staff was flexible and could make good effort on the glutenfree part, glutenfree kaiserschmarnn was a treat! So communication from hotel desk(with rest of staff?) would be my point of attention. A special mention of the housekeeping staff; we saw them mopping the floors a lot, since the snowboots were bringing a lot of snow, the amount of effort that is put into the cleanliness is commendable, respect! "We spent a few days at Alpin Juwel and absolutely loved every moment of our stay. The hotel has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere — from the very first step into the lobby, we immediately felt at home. Our Romantic Suite Rubin was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with an amazing view and even a private sauna. The Panorama Loggia and balcony were perfect places to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery. The wellness area was a highlight: cozy saunas, relaxing rest areas, and the incredible Over the Edge pool — truly unforgettable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious every day, with high-quality, regional and organic products. You can really taste the love they put into their food. The whole team at Alpin Juwel was extremely friendly, attentive, and genuine. We felt well taken care of at all times. A wonderful place for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a beautiful stay in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. We can highly recommend Alpin Juwel and would love to come back!"

"Sadly can only give this hotel one star. We visited this hotel a week ago for lunch. However, we really regret eating there. To start, although the member of staff serving us was ok the other staff seemed to be very rude and abrupt. There was a gentleman sitting at one of their other tables and he would not move tables and he was being spoken to very rudely. Then the staff started talking about him in front of other guests. This was over heard by several guests and caused a very negative atmosphere. The food we had was ok, although I ordered pasta and ended up with tinned mince, which was disappointing and tasteless. Then finally, towards the end of our meal the staff knocked over a full glass of water which soaked my gloves and helmet, which was on my chair. What really upset my partner and I was that although they were aware that they had done this they would not help dry my kit. I asked several times and they would not help. I managed to get some napkins in the end but I had a wet head and hand all afternoon. I tried to address this via email later that day as was not happy at all with what had happen nor how it was dealt with however the hotel replied saying they were not prepared to do anything. I have emailed again asking to deal with a senior manager and they have not replied. I will chase again. As such, I cannot recommend this hotel and would suggest you avoid at all costs!"

"Be warned - tried to charge us double for ham and cheese toasties. We didn’t stay, just stopped for lunch which was average. At the end when we came to pay the waiter bought us the bill and the toasties we had ordered were double the price what they were in the menu. I tried to challenge him and he was saying we hadn’t paid for two drinks when in fact they actually owed us money. The manager came over and sorted but it was all a bit embarrassing and unnecessary."

"The hotel is beautifully designed and creates a calming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. However, the experience quickly declines. I had high expectations after a recommendation to stay here, but it was a disappointment. The staff were polite, but the hotel is massively understaffed. Reception was closed for large parts of the day, and the bar and lounge area were often empty. There were signs at reception directing guests to find staff at the bar, only to find another sign directing them to reception. The spa areas are small, and the pools were chilly. There were limited loungers and seating areas. Room cleaning was basic at best, which was disappointing given the price point. The food was high quality, but the options were limited. Overall, I wouldn’t return to this hotel, but I appreciate its beauty."
