"The Hotel Glemmtalerhof proved to be an excellent choice. We were given a free room upgrade on arrival and enjoyed mountain views from our balcony. The food is first class and breakfast has a vast choice including hot and cold food. Our room was comfortable and clean . We used the pool a few times and the wellness facilities are superb. Above all the welcome and service by the staff was second to none. They were superb and it made our holiday. There was a bit of noise from another self catering apartment which lasted over a weekend. Hinterglemm doesn't really have a village feel as it's basically a long road. It felt a bit soulless. However the joker card provided by the hotel meant we didn't pay for cable cars or bus travel which saved a considerable amount of money. Access to the mountains from the hotel is brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate about staying at the Hotel Hinterglemm , it's just a pity I didn't fall in love with Hinterglrmm as a village itself. "

"We spent a few days at Alpin Juwel and absolutely loved every moment of our stay. The hotel has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere — from the very first step into the lobby, we immediately felt at home. Our Romantic Suite Rubin was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with an amazing view and even a private sauna. The Panorama Loggia and balcony were perfect places to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery. The wellness area was a highlight: cozy saunas, relaxing rest areas, and the incredible Over the Edge pool — truly unforgettable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious every day, with high-quality, regional and organic products. You can really taste the love they put into their food. The whole team at Alpin Juwel was extremely friendly, attentive, and genuine. We felt well taken care of at all times. A wonderful place for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a beautiful stay in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. We can highly recommend Alpin Juwel and would love to come back!"

"Our stay at the THOMSN Hotel in Hinterglemm was unfortunately a major disappointment. The room was not clean upon arrival: there were even M&M's left on the floor by previous guests. Additionally, the bathroom/shower is inconveniently laid out, as water runs through the door into the room while showering, making everything wet. The room contains an old sofa bed that looks dirty and is incredibly uncomfortable. The room is also extremely noisy: when guests walk down the hallway, you can literally hear conversations word for word. Furthermore, everything in the room is clearly outdated and not up to modern standards. What we also don't understand: no coffee maker and not even a kettle in the room. For a price of €389 per night, you expect a completely different standard — this is really far too expensive for what you get. Moreover, the staff at check-in were extremely unfriendly, which immediately gave us a bad start. The only positive point: the breakfast was well organized. Unfortunately, breakfast and location cannot compensate for the rest. The wellness area was also disappointing: the sauna and pool are so small that they do not match the size of a large hotel. All in all: a big disappointment and definitely not recommended for us."

"The hotel is beautifully designed and creates a calming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. However, the experience quickly declines. I had high expectations after a recommendation to stay here, but it was a disappointment. The staff were polite, but the hotel is massively understaffed. Reception was closed for large parts of the day, and the bar and lounge area were often empty. There were signs at reception directing guests to find staff at the bar, only to find another sign directing them to reception. The spa areas are small, and the pools were chilly. There were limited loungers and seating areas. Room cleaning was basic at best, which was disappointing given the price point. The food was high quality, but the options were limited. Overall, I wouldn’t return to this hotel, but I appreciate its beauty."

"Just returned from a brilliant stay at this lovely hotel. It is situated at the quieter end of Hinterglemm which suited us perfectly as not bothered but any noise but just a short walk to the Gondolas or you can hop on the drag lift next door. The ski bus to Saalbach is also stops just across the street. Our room was a little small and could perhaps benefit from a bit more storage but it was very cosy, had an amazing shower and was cleaned to a fantastic standard every single day. The wellness area is very relaxing with 2 saunas, an infrared cabin and a steam room. I liked to get there early and most days had it to myself which was bliss. The food was excellent and the staff worked extremely hard to get everyone fed promptly. We especially enjoyed the buffet evenings. The hotel is also making great use of technology with touch screen lifts and smart tvs in the room. The ski room is very large and you get a secure locker per room. Thanks for a lovely stay and if we found ourselves in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay again."

"Sadly can only give this hotel one star. We visited this hotel a week ago for lunch. However, we really regret eating there. To start, although the member of staff serving us was ok the other staff seemed to be very rude and abrupt. There was a gentleman sitting at one of their other tables and he would not move tables and he was being spoken to very rudely. Then the staff started talking about him in front of other guests. This was over heard by several guests and caused a very negative atmosphere. The food we had was ok, although I ordered pasta and ended up with tinned mince, which was disappointing and tasteless. Then finally, towards the end of our meal the staff knocked over a full glass of water which soaked my gloves and helmet, which was on my chair. What really upset my partner and I was that although they were aware that they had done this they would not help dry my kit. I asked several times and they would not help. I managed to get some napkins in the end but I had a wet head and hand all afternoon. I tried to address this via email later that day as was not happy at all with what had happen nor how it was dealt with however the hotel replied saying they were not prepared to do anything. I have emailed again asking to deal with a senior manager and they have not replied. I will chase again. As such, I cannot recommend this hotel and would suggest you avoid at all costs!"

"Be warned - tried to charge us double for ham and cheese toasties. We didn’t stay, just stopped for lunch which was average. At the end when we came to pay the waiter bought us the bill and the toasties we had ordered were double the price what they were in the menu. I tried to challenge him and he was saying we hadn’t paid for two drinks when in fact they actually owed us money. The manager came over and sorted but it was all a bit embarrassing and unnecessary."

"Every year we book similar 5-star hotels for our winter sports trips, so we may be a bit spoiled. The hotel itself and the location are perfect, but compared to other hotels with the same number of stars there is still some room for improvement. The table we were assigned was next to the stairs, which made it feel a bit like we were placed in a dark corner without a view. Use this table for kids that wanna play or for drunk people that just finish their Apres Ski, not for customers that come for dinner. Breakfast is good, dinner is average, and the menus are only available in German. That said, the staff is great."

"Accommodation, food, and facilities were exceptional! We also received an unexpected upgrade and were accommodated in the penthouse. It felt like we had won the lottery! The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would also like to highlight the hotel manager, who was more than willing to do exactly the same work as the rest of the staff. One morning, he was watering the flowers; in the evening, he was clearing plates from the tables, and so on. Chapeau!"

"This is without doubt, the most stylish, cool hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived late and they could not have been more professional and accommodating. It is not at all flash or aimed at the Gucci/Rolex brigade, but if you want style and quality this place is faultless. They undersell themselves which sums the place up. Uber cool. "This is our second time staying at this amazing hotel, with a very hospitable family and their staff. The location is excellent, next to the ski lift, and with the new elevator (!), you can go directly from the heated ski storage to the slopes. The food is a delight every day, and half-board is simply a must. Relaxing in the (extensive) sauna after a day of skiing is absolutely enjoyable. We've stayed in quite a few hotels, but never in one where cleaning is done non-stop. This hospitality family knows how to treat their guests and deserves a big compliment. We are looking forward to our next visit."

"We had a very good skiiing holiday with family and friends (group of 12) at Der Gollinger Hotel in Hinterglemm. Rooms in the hotel were very comfortabel and clean. A lot of storage space, good shower and bed. Breakfast was good with a variety in yoghurt, bread, fruit, eggs, salmon etc. Also dinner was perfect , with in general a 4 or 5 course meal with salade buffet, soup, choice of main dish and dessert. A tastefull but also affordable winelist en cozy bar. The staf and owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful were needed. Location of the hotel almost in the city centre, 50 metres to the skipiste and 200m to the skilift. So very good cosy (not to big) hotel. We will come back for antother skiing holday."
