Hotel Glücksschmiede - Hinterglemm
"Cannot believe the lowish Tripadvisor rating as we love this place. We ski all over Europe and we really like this hotel. Good rooms, superb breakfast, friendly staff. Good spa area and swimming pool too. What’s not to like? Central location in Hinterglemm. Very Austrian establishment ( a plus in our eyes )."
Wiesergut
"The hotel is beautifully designed and creates a calming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. However, the experience quickly declines. I had high expectations after a recommendation to stay here, but it was a disappointment. The staff were polite, but the hotel is massively understaffed. Reception was closed for large parts of the day, and the bar and lounge area were often empty. There were signs at reception directing guests to find staff at the bar, only to find another sign directing them to reception. The spa areas are small, and the pools were chilly. There were limited loungers and seating areas. Room cleaning was basic at best, which was disappointing given the price point. The food was high quality, but the options were limited. Overall, I wouldn’t return to this hotel, but I appreciate its beauty."
Der Gollinger
"Be warned - tried to charge us double for ham and cheese toasties. We didn’t stay, just stopped for lunch which was average. At the end when we came to pay the waiter bought us the bill and the toasties we had ordered were double the price what they were in the menu. I tried to challenge him and he was saying we hadn’t paid for two drinks when in fact they actually owed us money. The manager came over and sorted but it was all a bit embarrassing and unnecessary."
Thomsn Central Hotel & Appartements
"Our stay at the THOMSN Hotel in Hinterglemm was unfortunately a major disappointment. The room was not clean upon arrival: there were even M&M's left on the floor by previous guests. Additionally, the bathroom/shower is inconveniently laid out, as water runs through the door into the room while showering, making everything wet. The room contains an old sofa bed that looks dirty and is incredibly uncomfortable. The room is also extremely noisy: when guests walk down the hallway, you can literally hear conversations word for word. Furthermore, everything in the room is clearly outdated and not up to modern standards. What we also don't understand: no coffee maker and not even a kettle in the room. For a price of €389 per night, you expect a completely different standard — this is really far too expensive for what you get. Moreover, the staff at check-in were extremely unfriendly, which immediately gave us a bad start. The only positive point: the breakfast was well organized. Unfortunately, breakfast and location cannot compensate for the rest. The wellness area was also disappointing: the sauna and pool are so small that they do not match the size of a large hotel. All in all: a big disappointment and definitely not recommended for us."
Hotel Almrausch
"Just returned from a brilliant stay at this lovely hotel. It is situated at the quieter end of Hinterglemm which suited us perfectly as not bothered but any noise but just a short walk to the Gondolas or you can hop on the drag lift next door. The ski bus to Saalbach is also stops just across the street. Our room was a little small and could perhaps benefit from a bit more storage but it was very cosy, had an amazing shower and was cleaned to a fantastic standard every single day. The wellness area is very relaxing with 2 saunas, an infrared cabin and a steam room. I liked to get there early and most days had it to myself which was bliss. The food was excellent and the staff worked extremely hard to get everyone fed promptly. We especially enjoyed the buffet evenings. The hotel is also making great use of technology with touch screen lifts and smart tvs in the room. The ski room is very large and you get a secure locker per room. Thanks for a lovely stay and if we found ourselves in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay again."
Hotel Edelweiss
"Our 12th holiday at the Edelweiss which is in a superb location, has a modern yet traditional Alpine feel, comfortable and well appointed rooms, a lovely pool and spa, great food and excellent service from the staff. Our only bugbear, being fans of good music, is the background music, which often consists of excruciating cover versions, however this is a minor point, we will be back!"
Hotel Residenz Hochalm
"After reading some reviews I was a bit concerned. To my relief the hotel was great, the checking in was easy with an offer of a snack at the bar which the children enjoyed after a long journey. The 2 bedroom suite was large with 2 bathrooms which was ideal for our teenagers. Nice bright balcony and seating areas. The room came with a parking space in hotel car park which was perfect. We were on HB basis and the food was gorgeous. The restaurant was lovely and service good. The spa area was nice. Our whole experience at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is ski in and out as long as you can ski. I would highly recommend this hotel."
Alpin Juwel - Bio Und Lifestylehotel
"A great hotel for families and adults alike. Summer is a beautiful time here, so much to do, beautiful nature.. and the hotel is very cozy, with warm atmosphere, it feels like home.. rooms are beautiful, and the food is delicious!! Also they are very focused on sustainability and holistic , healthy living which is a great plus. Can't recommend it enough!"
Glemm by Avenida Incl Joker Card
"The hotel has a great location for outdoor enthusiasts, very close to cable cars leading to two different hills. The Joker Card is included and can be used twice per day for bikes as well as passengers, however you need to register through an app first. There is no bike storage or changing room, but there is an outdoor bike wash, and bikes can also be rented directly from the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, with many options and a great juice maker. However, during the last 20 minutes of breakfast time, items like yogurt or oranges are often missing and not refilled. It can also get crowded at peak hours, and sometimes you may have to wait for a free table. In contrast, the dinner buffet is quite limited. Only a small salad bar, bread is not always available or refilled, butter is offered only to some tables and we only got it one evening. A selection of cheeses, olives, or sun-dried tomatoes would make a big improvement. The staff are friendly and fast, but there seem to be too few of them for the size of the hotel. The spa area is pleasant, with an outdoor sauna and nice relaxation spaces, but it could be cleaned more regularly, it seems there is no staff member constantly maintaining it. However, charging 25 € per person to access the spa on the last day feels excessive. The rooms are very comfortable, with beautiful views and balconies, plus a small kitchen and coffee machine, which is a great bonus. Overall, this is a nice 4-star hotel, definitely not a 4-star superior. However, the price–performance is reasonable."

Hotel Alpenblick
"The hotel is located in the centre and the lift is not far away. Parking in the house. The rooms varying- panoramic rooms very nice, modernized, after one night we had to move, as we had booked so late, into a comfort room - worlds simpler. mattresses ok. The hotel manager was very friendly, the manager was rather nervous and short. In some way, you had the feeling to always disturb and missed to be on the place. Of 4 service forces, 2 could not speak German and are not acceptable in handling guests, for example, when a person is ready to postward the plate and wanted to bring it to the next walk, Although others were not finished. etc.. The pictures of food on the homepage do not even match what you get and brings other expectations. We have never eaten so badly in Austria. Breakfast is not full grain products, the bright breads are huge and light- you do not eat anything, the fruit salad is not fresh, glibly and partly out of the box. Broad coating is so ok. The coffee out of the machine is good. Once there was salmon, which was delicious. The dinner was terrible- the salad buffet: there are huge swabs with mainly made salad- you had the impression that all possible was cut in here, what must be gone away. Rarely the salads were eaten. Tomates and peppers were so cool that they tasted nox. The rest of the food went like that."
