"We spent an extend weekend to celebrate the birthday of my wife. The hotel has a lot of history. Very friendly and obliging staff. Excellent food and service. Small Sauna area but fit the purpose. Nice Swimming pool indoor and outdoor. Need some renovation which the owner have planned in the next 4 weeks."

"On the homepage everything looks super. I booked a standard single room. A spontaneous extension was possible, but only one premium single room was free without moving. Price: Standard 55,-€/night; premium: 85€/night. I spent 140,-€ in the premium room for two nights. It is in the second floor. It is awful. It is rustic, old and partly used to. I don't know what the premium was now! It's not going to be much effort. As a shower gel stood in the bathroom, in the shower, a Elkos savon pump flat (Elkos: housemark EDEKA, cost point for 500ml savon: 0.79€). That's also going better and more beautiful. The service in the restaurant, I don't think professional, was ok. The first night was not served, after 25 minutes of waiting on the terrace I went to a dinner in another hotel. The second night was the service at dinner solid and the dinner also good. (Schnitzel & Pommes frittes). The meat was very good. Comes from the regional Metzger. A total of sufficient stay. The hosts should give themselves more effort and the rooms are the simplest guest rooms and the word cabin PREMIUM should save themselves and the guests."

"About a 12min walk to the train station. Cute little town! Gave it 4 stars because the bed’s mattress was very flat & it was almost like sleeping on a sofa bed - pretty uncomfortable. But the room was really cute, very clean. There was cheese, cold cuts, yogurt & a very tasty bread for breakfast. A few veggies, too. We arrived around 4p & the door to the hotel was locked - almost looked as if no one was there! Rang the doorbell twice & the manager guy came to open it. Overall a good 1 night stay for the Christmas market, which was amazing!! There’s another hotel that’s pretty close to the train station, too. I would’ve preferred to stay closer, actually. There was GlüHwein (for $2.50 euros) & other small wine bottles/ drinks - on the honor system."

"The hotel is very noisy; deliveries start arriving at 6 AM. The rooms facing the street are loud until late in the evening because guests and passersby often have loud conversations on the street. It's impossible to sleep with the window open because the noise echoes in front of the hotel. The carpet is very worn out, and the whole hotel smells strongly of smoke, food, and a general lack of ventilation. We also had a thick shag carpet in our room, the same as in the breakfast room! This is truly unacceptable in a hotel room because it's impossible to keep it properly clean. The management is very unfriendly, which unfortunately affects some of the other staff as well. We were very glad to leave the hotel and would not return under any circumstances. We travel a lot and enjoy it, but this hotel is not one we can recommend."

"Perfect experience with our 4 kids under 7 years old. The room was perfectly adapted for a family and well equiped. The hotel is very quiet, the service is great and super nice. Families are more than welcome, there is a very nice mix of generation. Extra cost are low - almost everything is included in the pension and there are no bad surprises. The parc is just beautiful, with a play ground for kids and lots of different activities (badbinton, ping pong, etc.) are possible. The village is also very nice, with lots of different shops. There are many hike you can make in the area. "

"We were travelling with our two children and the hotel staff could not have been more premature. Since our arrival, they have made every effort to make us feel well. The reception surprised our children even with small welcome bags full of toys, which was a nice gesture. They always looked at us and asked if we needed additional towels or if the children wanted hot chocolate. It felt as if it was really important for them that our family feels like at home."

"This is a very laid back and comfortable hotel. The room I had was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. We had a vegetarian meal in the evening which, tasty and good value. Some of the veg grown in the garden. Breakfast was fresh and really appetisingly presented. There is not a bar but there is an “honesty” fridge which contained wine, beer and soft drinks. NB room to be paid for in cash. Host was helpful and clearly proud of his hotel."
