"Excellent stay at the Poachers arms! Prior to our arrival Lisa was really helpful and offered us recommendations for the local area if required. Information on check in was provided, which was a very nice and easy process. The accommodation itself is perfectly located, with excellent views all round. Inside the family room was spotless and really well decorated. Excellent range of hot drinks and biscuits. Also juice and snacks provided for breakfast. I would highly recommend the Poachers Arms and walks within the area, beautiful place with amazing views!"

"From arrival to departure, our stay was absolutely outstanding. Shaikta gave us the warmest welcome, showed us to our room, explained everything clearly, and even booked us a table at the restaurant. The cottage’s history in the room information was a lovely read and added charm to our stay. Dinner was outstanding, made with fresh, local ingredients, and breakfast the next morning was one of the best we’ve ever had—thank you, Laura! The service, food, and overall experience were exceptional. We would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back. A perfect getaway for walkers or those needing rest."

"Lovely old pub, log fires, friendly staff, fab music, great ale, and a fantastic Steak and Ale pie! Possibly the best pie I’ve ever had, full of steak, and the pastry was spot on. The barman recommended me Hendersons Relish with my meal - hadn’t heard of it before - great choice though! Chips were good too - Will definitely be back."
