Amazing
55201****This was my fourth visit to Izu Kogen, and I'd always come during cherry blossom season before. I stayed for two nights, and the two meals were undoubtedly the highlight. The service was also very attentive, and the private garden with an open-air bath, available 24/7, was a huge plus. It's quite suitable for a self-drive trip, being very close to Mount Omuro and not far from Jogasaki Coast; I also visited Lake Ippeki. The room faced east and lacked blackout curtains, which was a bit uncomfortable. Indeed, many resorts in Japan don't seem to consider sun shading. The hotel is very small with only six rooms. The overall quality of the hot springs in Izu is generally average.
GGuest UserA very satisfying stay. It's an eight-minute walk from Izu Kogen. After checking in, the hotel explained all the features in detail. The bathrooms are shared, but there are multiple rooms, so even when the hotel is fully booked, it wasn't crowded. They were also very clean. The hotel also recommended great restaurants nearby, including Daiso, a supermarket, a drugstore, and BR Ice Cream. The next day, the hotel owner drove us to Mount Omuro. A taxi from Jogasaki Coast back to the hotel was only 1990 yen, which was also very cost-effective. I would recommend this hotel to my friends, and I would choose it again if I were to visit again.
GGongchangdelinFacilities: The hotel clearly shows its age, giving off a 'dreamcore' vibe. From the lobby to the room design and style, it felt like stepping back into 80s-90s Japan. The facilities are comprehensive, making it very suitable for families.
Cleanliness: Very clean, nothing to fault.
Environment: Located on an uphill slope, surrounded by residential areas, it's very quiet. You can also see the ocean horizon from the room, which is beautiful.
Service: The service is very Japanese and thorough, they try their best to meet your requests. The front desk staff's English is also good, and they explain the hotel's facilities and restaurants in detail.
Food: The buffet at the restaurant is quite good.
Summary: A very satisfying stay.
MM13127****The service was excellent. On our first night, the air conditioning had some issues, and the receptionist made several trips to help us, but it still wasn't fixed. They eventually moved us to a room with good air conditioning. The view from the window was quite nice; it must be even more beautiful during cherry blossom season. The location is good, within walking distance of Ito Station, and there are convenience stores nearby. Taking a taxi from the station to the hotel should be free.
By the way, the hotel service was really great. After checking out and returning to collect our luggage, we realized we had left our phone in a taxi. We had to ask the hotel receptionist for help to retrieve it.
XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹
In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍
GGuest UserThe family booked a triple room, the boss adjusted it to 205, twin beds plus tatami, the room boss, living in 5-6 people is no problem. There is a kitchen. Free drinks in the lobby on the first floor, and it is very pleasant to sit and play games at night. From Izu Plateau Station to the hotel, you can make an appointment to pick up or take a taxi. The local road is narrow and it is all uphill and downhill. It is too inconvenient to drag your luggage. Quiet surroundings, you can see the sea from a distance
GGuest UserOverall this hotel's location is perfect for 1-3 days stay, but for longer stay you will need to take a taxi everywhere, its located too far. Even closest 7-11 is 1h walk away!
Everything was fine, the room for 3 was enourmous, clean and fresh. Its located right at the zoo entrance, with a discount for zoo tickets.
The only problem is its location - every restaurant around closes at 5 pm, so quite inconvenient. Even when we were looking on Google maps for an open restaurants and it said they were open - they were closed in reality. Spent almost 2h looking for food))
So you better ask hotel staff to find you a place to eat, even better if they call in a restaurants.
GGuest UserFor Dashishan and Cactus Zoo, the hotel is near Izu Plateau Station. It takes about 18 minutes to walk and there are more slopes. People along the way are also very quiet with cute flowers and plants. You can store your luggage for free on the day of check-in. Going to Dashishan or taking the bus honestly, watching the walk is only 40 minutes, but there will be private roads along the way that are not allowed to pass, and the map walking navigation is still not very smart.
The room is Western style, there are tatami mats, the price is really super high. The room is much larger than expected. There is a toilet sink. You have to take two free private soups to take a bath. It is said that the private soup feels like a large bath in an ordinary hotel. It’s super cool to have a lock on the personal door.
In addition, there is a free drink machine coffee machine, very crazy sweet water.
GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus.
Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
GGuest UserThe structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians.
It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value.
Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.
