"Huaraz was freezing! After a day of playing, there was no hot water, and finding an outlet was like playing hide-and-seek (forget about the one by the bed). Breakfast was very ordinary. In conclusion: it looks nice but isn't practical; at this price, it's really not worth it."

"The hotel is very well located, close to the main square, within walking distance of the bus terminal and the plaza. The rooms are comfortable, have wooden floors that keep the room warm, and most importantly, we had hot water at all times."

"Avoid this hotel at all costs. No hot water, no water or power at times. No towels. We were put in dirty rooms with no working water. Lots of staff but no one speaks English or does anything to help remedy issues. Extremely noisy and run down building. I’ve stayed in many places in South/Central America and this is by far THE WORST. Manager was contacted several times to address concerns and we still had no water or towels. Breakfast is abysmal and service is extremely slow."

"Maimara is a beautifull hotel, locatie a fee blocks away from the centre of Huaraz. Therefore in is a queit place to enjoy the well deserved rest after hiking in the mountains. To is a family business with very kind and accomodating personell. The hotel is clean, safe, and has great atmosphere. You can enjoy delicious local beers in the bar, and also the breakfast is very good! I recommend this hotel to everyone who want to enjoy Huaraz and the Andes Mountains."

"Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that breakfast was not included, and that since we had reserved it through the app, we could not have breakfast and had to pay separately. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell all the time, and there was not always hot water."
