"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a half-board basis with 3 people. As a couple, we had a double room. My father-in-law (76) stayed in a single room opposite. We checked in on Monday around 3:45 pm. Check-in went smoothly, but we received a printed document in Dutch stating that there would be no electricity the coming night due to work/installation of the solar panels/eco-installation. This was not reported to us in advance. The electricity was switched off around 9 pm. We had been given an LED lamp per person. During the night, there was intermittent knocking and drilling until early morning. At 6:30 am, there was still no electricity and consequently no hot water. We sat in the semi-darkness during breakfast. Electricity was back on around 8:30 am to 9 am. Given that this was not a case of force majeure and these works were known well in advance, it is unprofessional to only report this upon arrival and to spend the night in this manner. while the price for a normal night was paid. A complaint form was submitted to Tui regarding this. For dinner, on two of the three evenings, we had a choice of one type of soup, one type of dessert, and three main course choices. A salad/vegetable buffet was set up. The soup was mediocre. The dessert was average, and the main courses were good. The salad bar was mediocre. I suspect there were few fresh products, but rather pickled items from jars or cans, or soaked in sauce. One evening there was no choice menu for the main course; instead, they served schnitzel or fish. This was the worst evening of dinner. Breakfast, however, was reasonably generous and of good quality. The rooms are large but sparsely furnished. The double room was located on the parking (rear) side of the building. The shower was in the bathtub with a shower curtain (outdated) and two taps to manually adjust the temperature, which was very difficult to regulate. The shower pressure was also minimal. The room was cleaned well daily. The floor covering was entirely carpet. The mattress and pillows were far too soft and actually provided insufficient support. The single room faced the street and had no bathtub, but did have a shower cabin. Everything worked well here. The room also had carpeted flooring. Given the street side, it suffered more from traffic noise. The single bed was very narrow, though. Check-out went smoothly, but unfortunately, we were not asked about our experience of the stay. As far as we are concerned, this is a hotel we will not visit again."
