"I had a very pleasant five-day vacation in SOMA. The hotel was very clean and I could see the glacier in the distance from the room. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the town. The landlord is a person with rich experience and has lived in many countries. She was very hospitable and provided us with a lot of tourist information and airport drop-off service. It was a great experience!"

"The Hotel Nuka is a very nice, basic, unpretentious place. The rooms are a bit on the small side and don’t have much of a view, but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tight and the fact that it was a “wet” bathroom made it a bit sloppy. We liked the free pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport – very handy. The included breakfast was at the Café Nuka, just across the street, and we found it to be basic but very tasty. We felt this place was good value for what we paid. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to other travelers looking for a good value base in Ilulissat."

"The hotel boasts stunning views. While not located in town, it's conveniently situated about a 20-minute walk, or you can easily take a bus or ask the front desk to call a taxi. It's approximately a 15-minute walk from the meeting point. The front desk staff are very welcoming and responsive. The hotel is clean and provides excellent service. Airport transfers are hassle-free, as the hotel updates the pick-up and drop-off times for the following day's flights every night. The rooms are well-equipped with complimentary water and sandwiches, and amenities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, and bathrobes are readily available – a rare find."

"I had an unforgettable stay at this Eqi lodge, I had a cabin faced the glacier and offered breathtaking views, the changing lights from sunrise to sunset is truly beautiful. You can actually hear the deep, thundering movements of the glacier, which makes the whole experience feel magical, unique and humbling at the same time The cabin itself was very cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained. I only stayed overnight, the pricing of the cabins are probably the most I ever paid but it is worth it, to sleep next to the glacier is truly awesome ! What made the experience even better was the incredible staff – so attentive, caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly special stay in Greenland!"

"There aren't many options in Greenland, so this was a great deal. The apartment could sleep five people with an extra bed; it was very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine. A few points to add: When it was time to check in, they kept saying they were cleaning the room, without specifying how long it would take. We waited on the first floor for over an hour, and they said they were still cleaning but we could go to the room to check. However, they didn't explain where the room was, and we didn't have a key. We had to ask again before they finally said the key was with the cleaning staff, but where were we supposed to stay? Only then did they tell us. The apartment is on the second floor, requiring a 15-step walk up stairs, but the path is full of large rocks—the kind that would damage your suitcase."
