"Travelling is an eye opener. I came across the worst rudest Front Desk person , Heidi. I booked a Seaview Executive Room, but was given one with a view of a broken hut on some stones. Heidi at the Front Desk said , " You booked through *******, so we cannot change for you.". I said ," I paid extra to have a seaview room snd it is printed out on my voucher. ." ... Heidi said " ******* made a mistake, our hotel is full, we cannot change room for you".I said I need to take photo of your name plate to complain against you" . Heidi said , "It is against the law here for you to take a photo of me, I will call the Police" ...She stormed into the manager's room. Her manager, Renee, was more reasonable. We were offered a seaview room in the end. I hope that this very bad experience was not because I am asian. The rooftop restaurant is good because of it staff, its view. I should have taken photo of the 'broken hut view' room."

"Best excursion i had in a long time, the boat ride is great with icebergs and whales, what more can you ask for. The site and tents we stayed at were amazing, the food is great and the staff are amazingly friendly & efficient. I loved the hikes with Christopher & Camilla, they are well versed with topic and well organized for all eventuality."

"The Hotel Nuka is a very nice, basic, unpretentious place. The rooms are a bit on the small side and don’t have much of a view, but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tight and the fact that it was a “wet” bathroom made it a bit sloppy. We liked the free pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport – very handy. The included breakfast was at the Café Nuka, just across the street, and we found it to be basic but very tasty. We felt this place was good value for what we paid. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to other travelers looking for a good value base in Ilulissat."

"I had an unforgettable stay at this Eqi lodge, I had a cabin faced the glacier and offered breathtaking views, the changing lights from sunrise to sunset is truly beautiful. You can actually hear the deep, thundering movements of the glacier, which makes the whole experience feel magical, unique and humbling at the same time The cabin itself was very cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained. I only stayed overnight, the pricing of the cabins are probably the most I ever paid but it is worth it, to sleep next to the glacier is truly awesome ! What made the experience even better was the incredible staff – so attentive, caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly special stay in Greenland!"

"The location is so good, in the heart of everything. Loved having the wee kitchen dinning area, it's nice not to have to eat out all the time. The bed was really comfy, could turn the heating down and open the window (Greenlanders like rooms hot)... great view of the street from our room, if there was northern lights you would get a great view. Breakfast is across the street and was excellent, lots of food and choice sets you up for the day. Checkin was friendly and informative, leaving was efficient and they took us back to the airport for free."
