"1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam.
2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise.
3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away.
If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The room is very big, with two 1.8-meter beds, which is spacious for four people. The hotel is not far from Dongxing Port, and it only takes more than 20 minutes to walk there. "On the first day, I tried to boil water in the electric kettle and found it was filthy, with rust all over the bottom. I called the front desk and asked them to come up and replace it with a new one. The cleaning lady didn't come to clean. Since I was naked in the room, I was only wearing my underwear, so I asked her to wait. The whole process took less than two minutes. When I went to open the door, the cleaning lady had already pushed the cleaning supplies into the elevator. I hadn't even gotten in yet, but she actually said she was going downstairs [sweat wiping]. I was speechless. Can't I just wait a minute or two? They didn't ask me to wait half an hour? When I've had cleaning ladies at other hotels, I've always asked them to wait a minute or two, and they'd wait outside.
The next day, after I put the trash at the door, no one knocked to clean.
The third day, no one cleaned.
For the next few days, I simply didn't ask for cleaning."

"Vienna Hotel is my favorite hotel when I travel, and I'm basically a regular guest. The breakfast selection is exceptionally extensive. My only suggestion is that the rooms should provide two pillows of different heights; I'm not used to sleeping on low pillows and find high pillows unsuitable."

"We brought our family to Dongxing for the holiday, and this hotel has a fantastic location! Parking is a huge problem in Dongxing during holidays, but this hotel made it easy to park and go to places like the National Gate and the pedestrian street. Xuezhen Bakery, Meng Huo Fried Chicken, and Zhongyuan Coffee are all just a few minutes' walk away! Although it's an economy chain, the rooms are quite large and have smart room control systems, especially the TV which can be directly projected onto your phone. I think unless you absolutely need a brand-name hotel like Ramada, this hotel is perfectly adequate.
The hotel also has a laundry room with dryers, which is very important in a hot place like Dongxing for quickly washing and drying clothes.
Furthermore, the street above Huxi River (where the Taosu brand is located) transforms into a night market at night, which is also a great place to stroll and eat!"

"The front desk check-in service was great, and the second staff member who helped me proactively asked about my needs and if I wanted a quiet room. This is the most thoughtful and heartwarming question I've ever been asked when traveling by car, as usually you have to request a quiet room yourself. This employee's attention to detail truly deserves praise. The hotel itself is also good, the room is comfortable, and the on-site parking is convenient and spacious. A top choice for accommodation!"

KKenny K.Old hotel with an old man taking care of all the duties and business. No much things to do in this boarder town as foods, fruits are no cheap. Our intention is to cross the boarder to Vietnam. Beware, there is a long line waiting for exit stamp at the immigration. As it is in the late evening so we turn back before our turn. The local people told us that we will be wasting our time in opposite immigration when returning to this town as the post open till 9:00pm only.
However, this hotel roof top can view the Vietnam side across the river (picture).

WWudouyangdameiI came here with my boyfriend, dad, and mom. We booked two rooms and they thoughtfully put us on the same floor. There's an elevator, which is great for older folks who might have trouble with stairs. They also have their own parking lot near the entrance, which was very convenient. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Downstairs, there are several restaurants nearby; the Vietnamese fried snails place was really good. There's also a fruit store nearby where I bought some kumquats that were super sweet! I'm so happy! I'll definitely come back next time!

Mmerusonthe hotel has a beautiful view of the city at the rooftop restaurant. you can go up to admire the view day and night. the buffet breakfast is simple yet nutritious. the hotel staff is efficient and helpful. i asked for chili and it was promptly given to me. the room is very cozy and has a good street view too. the only setback is the hotel is located quite a distance from the border gate and ***** transport. it will not be a problem if you have your own transport.

YYaqingArkingThe hotel should have been renovated in 2023. The furniture is new and the facilities are good. This is probably the best hotel you can find in Dongxing. There are about ten single-family villas in total, facing the mountains and streams. It is very comfortable to get up in the morning. The key is that the price is not expensive even on the National Day, which is rare. It's not far from Dongxing city, about twenty minutes' drive. Just look at the room map for photos, that's fine. The only small problem is that it comes with a gas tank for the kitchen stove, but not a pot haha.

GGuest UserA young arrogant reception ( the one with glasses) refused to honour my booking, the advertised room with RIVERVIEW saying it was sold out and offering me a small room with no view. After calls to the owner she agreed to give me the room if I paid extra. After more discussion with her boss she relented after I threatened a poor review. This arguing took at least half an hour of stress and anxiety, the receptionist insisting my phone was the problem even though I showed her the screenshot of my booking confirmation. I went to reserve another night but had to agree to a higher price. I wanted to stay at least four nights but too stressful playing their game.

MM509037****I personally think this hotel's rating is too low. The location is excellent, and the cleanliness is okay. Just downstairs, there's a Vietnamese street across the street, and further in from the hotel is a wholesale street for Vietnamese specialties, making it very convenient to pick up some souvenirs before leaving. The only downside is the underground parking garage; it's difficult to exit and obstructs the view, and it even scratched my car rim. I recommend parking on the surface.

HHua1981It's very original, and the accommodation environment is certainly not as good as a hotel, but the advantage is that it's really close to the seaside, and it's very convenient to catch the sea at night. The hygiene is average, and the decoration of the seaside B&Bs on this road is not very good. So it’s worth it to be close to the beach and convenient for swimming, digging in the sand and catching the sea! It's just that the price of accommodation is not directly proportional to the decoration of the room. In short, if you choose this one with the advantage of being close to the seaside, you have to endure the average decoration conditions.

AAnonymous UserLocation is 2 mins walk from Bus Terminal/ 950m from Dong Xing Port. Just a 600m walk to reach Town Central for Tourists must-see and Malls. Bus stop is just front of the hotel. Room is very spacious and clean comes with private bathroom, AC works well and TV is with signals for local channel. Wifi is of good speed and hot shower is always available. Staff at lobby is friendly and has a drinking water dispenser at lobby as well. Safe for solo female traveller.

GGuest UserThe hotel is relatively old, and the hardware facilities are like those of a recruitment agency in the 1970s. The mattresses are relatively hard and there is no peculiar smell. It is convenient for travel and is close to the port, just a few minutes' walk away.
