We were planning a night hike up Lafa Mountain and wanted to get some sleep, but the hotel was located outside a busy commercial street with heavy traffic, and the soundproofing was poor. The guy in the next room was constantly playing games and talking, and I couldn't sleep all night. Secondly, we had already paid 49 yuan to upgrade our room at check-in (the front desk staff were very friendly then). The next morning, after returning from Lafa Mountain, we asked the new front desk staff if we could delay check-out until 2 PM if there were enough rooms available, but they refused, saying they were always fully booked (the taxi driver who took us back from Lafa Mountain said this hotel was relatively expensive in Jiaohe and not very popular). They said we had to pay another 49 yuan to upgrade. We said we had already upgraded and asked about breakfast, but they even checked our room type, as if we were trying to scam them out of breakfast. Their attitude was incredibly low and made us uncomfortable. This is the first time I've been so speechless in all my hotel stays."
