"The room was very clean and had a view of the village gate. The location is super convenient, just the first guesthouse on the left inside the gate. The owners are incredibly nice and thoughtful, even offering free pickup and drop-off from the high-speed train station. This saved us the shuttle bus fare from the scenic area entrance to the village, such great value! My parents' room seemed to have been recently renovated and looked much nicer than the photos when we booked."

"Coming to this Dong village for Chinese New Year, I didn't even consider other places and chose this one without hesitation. It really didn't disappoint; it was absolutely stunning. Every evening there was a performance of the Dong Grand Song. Since we checked in on New Year's Eve, the hotel even arranged a New Year's Eve dinner and had handmade dumplings. For someone from the North, the dumplings might not be the absolute best, but being able to eat handmade dumplings in a southern village on New Year's Eve really showed the owner's thoughtful attention to detail."

"What a great stay we had! We were there in off season in late December, but we fell in love with the town, the people and this hotel / B&B. We had a beautiful room with fantastic views on the fields. Everything was clean and in order. The breakfast was freshly cooked for us every morning and it was fantastic every time. The owners were so caring and welcoming, really a lovely couple that is also happy to share stories about the town and their way of living. Even picked us up at the entrance of the town and also brought us back there when it was time to leave. We recommend this place 100% and will come back for sure to this little paradise! Also the location is great, everything can be reached by foot easily."

"I came to Zhaoxing Dong Village specifically to experience the Dong New Year and immerse myself in its festive atmosphere. The guesthouse is located near the Lituan Drum Tower; it's easy to find using a map, and the main street is just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all necessary toiletries provided. It was very quiet at night, and the landlady was warm and friendly. The Dong New Year parade, the traditional rice-making activity, the long table banquet, the Lusheng (a type of reed pipe instrument) competition, and the bonfire party were all part of the vibrant activities. I experienced the customs and traditions of the Dong people in southeastern Guizhou Province – a truly worthwhile trip. Finally, congratulations to the Lituan team for winning the Lusheng competition!"

"The B&B has an excellent location with fantastic views from the room. The overall decor creates a very peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room was clean, just as I expected. The service was also very thoughtful; a driver specifically picked us up from the high-speed rail station, and upon arrival, someone helped carry our luggage upstairs to the room. I especially loved their complimentary coffee, black tea, and delicious, generous breakfast. It was a wonderful B&B experience, and if I ever get the chance to visit Dong Village again, I would definitely choose to stay here!"

"The Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!"

"Congjiang High-Speed Railway Station Pick-up and Drop-off Service: The guesthouse owner arranged pick-up and drop-off for us. Even though our train arrived late, they waited for us at the station.
Facilities: The guesthouse is located above the village, a 4-minute walk from the main street. It can be a bit out of the way at night, but the owner always drives his car to pick us up and take us back to the guesthouse – a truly welcoming experience!
Environment: We booked a room with a balcony offering a panoramic view of the village. Although it's not on the street, it's incredibly quiet; all you hear is white noise. It must be so peaceful in the summer!
Service: Breakfast is served individually, clean, hygienic, and satisfying.
The hotel has a typical wooden structure, very characteristic of the local area. Highly recommended."

"he location was perfect! We had a beautiful room with a balcony that was spotlessly clean and offered at a great price. Best of all, we absolutely loved the host, she was incredibly helpful and caring, and truly made our stay unforgettable. She helped us wash our clothes, helped us plan some trips and offered us really nice fruits to eat on our balcony. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!"

We are located in the center of the village, facing the Drum Tower, surrounded by bamboo forests, overlooking the entire Zhaoxing Dong village. We are always here waiting for our lovely guests.
"Our stay was very pleasant from start to finish: we were picked up at the railway station, spent 2 nights, had lovely breakfast with a view (and a latte!) and were able to use a projection screen to stream video. Location is perfect for exploring Zhaoxing, we also recommend taking the bus to Tang An and hike back to the village."

The owner even upgraded our room for free and provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the station, even helping with our luggage. Since we visited in winter, they kindly reminded us about the large temperature fluctuations between morning and evening, providing attentive service throughout our stay. Upon arrival, they gave us recommendations and explained the local attractions, answering all our questions and promptly addressing any issues. When we left, they even gave us local specialties as a gift. This is a perfect guesthouse, and I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit.

WworldangelBefore arriving, the homestay stafd took the initiative to contact me via Wechat so that they can arrange for transport to bring us from the train station to the hotel. This hotel is located inside Zhaoxing Ancient Village so do purchase the entrance tickets beforehand. The hotel is located towards the end of the village and our room is facing a small paddy field. It is very convenient to move around as it is only 5-10 minutes walk to the bus station if you want to take the shuttle bus to Tang'An Rice Terrace. It is also about 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of the village where you can find food and other necessities. The staff is very considerate- they will message me on wechat to ask what we prefer for breakfast so that they can prepare the noodles and coffee for us by the time we want to go down for breakfast. They can also deliver the breakfast to your room if you prefer. The beds are very comfortable although the pillows can be a bit harder and will be good to have more hooks in the bathroom for guests to hang their towels and clothes before showering. All in all, would highly recommend this homestay. Thank you for the hospitality!

I liked the wooden interior or the room and the helpful staff. The only negative point would be that the room was really cold. The air conditioning worked on full power, but was not able to heat the room comfortably.

The owners are gentle and warm-hearted, the uncle and aunt are hardworking and kind, sincere in their dealings with others, and attentive to detail; the uncle even performed a lusheng (a traditional reed pipe instrument) for us. The guesthouse is conveniently located yet quiet, a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Slowing down here, experiencing the charm and poetry of the Dong village, I'll definitely come back!

Location and Transportation
Not far from the high-speed rail station, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service, just contact in advance, saving the trouble of finding a car, especially convenient.
Room Experience
We live in a smart room type in the whole house. The lights, curtains, and air conditioners can be controlled by voice or panels. The operation is simple and the living is very comfortable. The room was cleaned very clean, the bed was moderately soft and hard, and it was quiet at night and slept soundly.
Food & Drink
The boss's restaurant must be praised! The dishes are home-cooked, but they are particularly delicious, the ingredients are fresh and the weight is sufficient.
Service attitude
The front desk sister is very enthusiastic, answer all questions, and the response is very fast, which makes people feel very intimate.
In short, this is a very pleasant stay. Whether it is a family trip or a gathering of friends, it is very suitable here. Next time you come here to play, you will definitely choose here!

The landlady readily upgraded our room because of the view of the rice paddies from the window. However, there are many hidden costs in this scenic area. Although the owner provided pick-up from the train station, you still need to pay an additional 20 yuan to get to the high-speed rail station. Parking at the entrance costs 20 yuan, and the daily entrance fee is 80 yuan. If you want to visit the rice terraces, you need to pay for a sightseeing bus. Personally, I didn't find any good food inside the scenic area.
In short, unless you have a strong fascination with the architecture of Guizhou's ethnic minorities, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

This holiday, I brought my family to Zhaoxing Dong Village in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. I was deeply moved by the hospitality of the Yunman family, who always take their guests' needs into consideration. It's clear they put their heart and soul into the guest experience.
This B&B is perfectly situated, close to the village gate and nestled halfway up the mountain, offering a peaceful retreat. Sit in the first-floor lobby, where the owner will personally make you tea. Head up to the rooftop for breathtaking views of the Dong village! The room's bedding and amenities are also high-quality. The tea set is exquisite, and the tea is even better than what you'd find in a five-star hotel. The bathroom features a Dayson hairdryer and smart toilet, and they even thoughtfully provide a disposable toilet seat. Overall, I felt the attention to detail was exceptional, making it a truly enjoyable stay. I hope this B&B continues to improve and I'll stay here again!

GGraceI read the reviews and said it was very good. After coming here, I was not disappointed. A hotel with a very artistic feel and ethnic characteristics. Seeing that I had a big boy with me, the landlady upgraded us to a double room, loft, and tatami for free. The child was very happy to live upstairs. The proprietress is very nice. Entry and exit are prohibited in the village at 19 o'clock. We got off the high-speed train a little late and could not pick up the car. When we left, the village issued new regulations that did not allow us to pick up tourists. The proprietress found a car to take us off with her own money. She told us along the way to contact us at any time. , give the boss lady a thumbs up!
