"We arrived at the hotel by car around 8 PM. It's located on the outskirts of Sanjiang County, but food delivery is available. Built along the river, it's considered the best hotel in the area and is part of the Marriott group. Service: Every staff member was courteous, including the lady who maintains the garden. They would greet me whether we made eye contact or not. The bellboy always opened the door for me when I entered or exited, greeting me with a smile. Facilities: The hotel's amenities are very new, and the decor is of a high standard with a strong ambient lighting design. The elevator goes directly to the 2nd floor where the lobby is located for check-in. The executive lounge is also on the 2nd floor, offering afternoon tea and outdoor views during the day. The lobby has a subtle, elegant fragrance. On the 1st floor, there's a gym, swimming pool, and breakfast restaurant (the breakfast is extensive, featuring many local Dong ethnic snacks)."

"This is actually the Dong Village Hotel recommended in Lonely Planet, but the owner changed the name. It’s an atmospheric old wooden building with stunning views. The English speaking owner was very helpful in arranging a car to pick us up from Sanjiang station and then drove us (for a reasonable fee) to Fenghuang. Otherwise hard to make connections from Chengyang."

"Our stay at Sanjiang Juyoulou Inn was great and the Inn owners are a sweet, amazing couple that helped us out a lot! We wanted to learn about the local handcraft and the owner helped us to organise a lesson in Chinese embroidery through some of his contacts, which was so cool! They also helped us to book places for the banquet and the festivities at the drum tower, which, through a collab, is also cheaper than if we had booked them ourselves :) On our last day, we left for the rice terraces in a even more rural area, and the owner explained us exactly - with a sweet hand-written note - how to get there with the different busses we needed to take. He also drove us to the first bus stop in his personal car for free. Amazing and kind people, a beautiful room and a nice view :)"

"The B&B is located right inside the scenic area. If you're driving, you can park in the underground parking lot of the scenic area (20 yuan for overnight parking). You'll need to purchase an admission ticket (40 yuan for a half-price ticket; free for those 65 and over), then take the scenic area shuttle bus to Qiaotou, where the owner will come to pick you up. The room was convenient, clean, and hygienic. It was a bit chilly outside, but the air conditioning in the room was already on, making it nice and warm! The owner was incredibly welcoming. One minor inconvenience is that if you have large luggage, you'll need to carry your suitcase and walk a bit, including some stairs. Overall, the scenic area itself is quite unique and definitely worth a visit!"
