"Despite the mixed reviews online, I decided to stay here mainly for the Mediterranean views and the hotel's location. It's situated in a beachside amusement area, about a 17-minute walk from the city center. The nearby restaurants generally have lower ratings and are mostly ice cream shops. Many trendy spots are in the city center, requiring a taxi, or you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the beach in the evening. The hotel facilities are just adequate; the room has a hairdryer, a drying rack, and the hotel boasts its own beach and swimming areas. The service is excellent; the staff are very patient and helpful with any issues, and I'd particularly like to commend Ms. Mahytab. The scenery is absolutely stunning – the 'Matrouh Blue' lives up to its reputation. Waking up to that brilliant blue every day really boosts your mood! P.S. You can even catch the Mediterranean sunrise from your window."

Makai Tukai restaurant serves Asian Cuisine. Corallo offers seafood à la carte dining options while overlooking the Mediterranean. Sofra features authentic Lebanese favorites. The JAZ Almaza Beach Resort, Almaza Bay features spa with range of relaxation options such as: sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. There is also a fully equipped gym, and beauty salon with treatment rooms against charge. The property offers beach lodges where guests can enjoy a quiet time with food and beverages services by the private butlers. Reservation is needed and extra charges apply. A range of sport activities are available on site such as table tennis, billiard, beach volley ball, water ball, aqua gym. Other activities include kite surfing, water pedal and kayak are against charge. Children can enjoy daily activities at Kids club. Accompanying maids are considered additional guests and will incur an extra charge upon check-in.

"There are limited means of transportation to get to this hotel. It took about 3.5 hours by UBER from Alexandria, costing 1400 yen in local currency, but UBER could not be used from the hotel to Marsa Matruh, so I had to call a taxi, which took about 45 minutes and cost 600 yen. Also, communication at the front desk was not good at dispatching the car, which was very unpleasant. There seems to be no taxi nearby, so it takes a long time to call one, so I recommend requesting a taxi at least an hour in advance. There is nothing nearby, and it is a different story if you want to enjoy the pool and the sea on the hotel grounds, but if you are thinking of sightseeing from the hotel to Marsa Matruh, I think it would be better to stay at a hotel in Marsa Matruh, considering the round-trip taxi fare and travel time. It may be due to the season, but I felt that the beach had strong waves and was not suitable for swimming or for children to play. The rooms are clean, but the amenities are basic. Drinks in the room other than water are charged separately. It is not all-inclusive. Dinner was included in the price of the room, but the only drink available was water; other soft drinks and coffee were charged extra."

"The hotel's location is decent, but since it's only four stories high, there isn't much difference between a sea view room and one without. As for breakfast, it's not about whether it's good or not, but the staff served us so much food, it was almost embarrassing! All the electrical outlets in the room were round, so my plugs wouldn't fit. I had to ask the hotel for an adapter. And there was no hairdryer either, so I had to ask for that separately too. Oh my god, it was such a hassle, constantly having to go down to the front desk to ask for things. At checkout, I encountered a front desk receptionist who didn't speak English. We were completely unable to communicate. I don't understand why a hotel that serves travelers would have an employee at the reception desk who can't speak any English at all."
