Metz Hotels with Wifi

"I highly recommend this hotel! 🏨 It was my first time in Metz, and I booked it simply because it seemed close to the train station and convenient for transportation. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The room facilities were basic, unlike hotels in China which are often fully equipped (so it's best to bring your own toiletries and slippers), but the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was a typical French breakfast—simple, but filling! The best part was the 24-hour hot water dispenser in the restaurant, which is incredibly important for Chinese people! I definitely needed hot water to feel at ease. The only downside was that I stayed on the 5th floor (actually the 6th, but the French count the first floor as the second, it's not complicated, just take the elevator), so I had to go downstairs every time I needed water, but I was very satisfied. What impressed me most about this hotel was the front desk service. Two gentlemen were on duty during the day and night; they were very enthusiastic, eager to provide service, almost always responsive, and very patient. The middle-aged man who worked during the day had traveled to Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as Vietnam and Cambodia, and had a certain understanding of Chinese culture and history, so I felt a strong connection with him. Metz was a city more beautiful than I expected; it felt like a small European town straight out of a movie. Near Notre Dame Cathedral, there was a bookstore with a gentle and refined young owner. When I asked him for book recommendations, I discovered he was indeed very well-read—just like the bookstore owners in movies. In short, Metz is beautiful, safe, and the people are quite friendly and kind. It's a small town I'd like to bring my family to visit again. If I come back, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Leider haben die Bilder nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Das Hotel ist abgewranzt und verwohnt. An vielen Stellen ist Schimmel oder Rost. Dennoch ist alles blitzblank sauber. Die Lage ist wirklich extrem zentral und sehr ruhig. Der Pool war nicht befüllt und sah er fürchterlich aus."

"We booked for a double roome with 2 beds, it is a very small room (yes, I knew this in advance) but since we only stayed for 1 night only. that was fine. If we have two big suitcases and we need to unfold both, we need to find our own arrangements. Anyhow, in general, the breakfast service was good! The reception desk was very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is not far from city center, located in a very quite place for living habitats I think. I give 4.5 / 5 points."

"Expensive and not worth it. We had booked two rooms for two adults and our two children. The pool was cold. When we ate in the restaurant (with few other guests) we had to wait an hour for the pricy food. The food was not that good and one dish had to be returned because the chicken was so dry. When we got to the rooms and looked forward to sleeping, it turned out that our two rooms on the first floor were located right above a noisy wedding party. The hotel must have been aware of that from the start. Very tired, we now had to pack our luggage and change to two new rooms. Breakfast was ok but nothing special."
