SW ThorntonThe Arras Ibis Styles was the last hotel on our driving 'Tour de France' during May, we stopped at hotel/Logis in Normandy, Angers, Bordeaux, Narbonne, Lyon and Dijon, my wife and I both agreed that the Arras Ibis Styles hotel is perfect, its style, decor, public areas are superb, breakfast choice and service were perfect, however what makes the hotel perfect is the staff, all staff were excellent but the lady receptionist who checked us in arrived back at work while we had an early breakfast with a big smile on her face, this speaks volumes to us, please pass on thanks to all staff

Excellent stay in this SPA hotel, pleasant staff and varied and extensive breakfast.
There is one hour of SPA included per day, but attention must be reserved to the slot (which eventually avoids blinding the SPA and allows relaxation).

Guest UserGreat location short drive from the Ferry Port. Check in unfortunately not until 1600 although could check in earlier for a charge Beautiful Chateau. Pleasant gardens but not overly manicured lawns and wooded areas. Public rooms beautifully restored and furnished.
Bedroom was on the 2nd floor with a view over the front lawn and was nicely furnished with a large comfy bed although the room was small with one chair and no work surface fridge or air conditioning but fan available . The en suite bathroom had no shower curtain and an unpleasant smell of drains not unusual for France. No lift two flights of stairs to 2 nd floor rooms final flight steep. Difficult for someone with even minor mobility problems.
Breakfast not included but good continental provision with the addition of scrambled eggs and sausages.
Dinner superb although very limited menu choices. Exquisite presentation and service. Good value accommodation in a lovely location. Would recommend highly.

Nice location however the hotel car park it is not well signposted. Average breakfast for the price.
No drawers in the room no minibar or fridge, very basic amenities for a 4 star hotel. The shower door in the bath went beyond the bath edge and allow water to go on the floor creating a paddle in the bathroom. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointing experience considering the price to pay for a mediocre dinner. The staff are completely oblivious to guests requests or suggestions. We ordered the deep fried squid and they were just served as finger food, piping hot when I asked for a plate to transfer the squid from a napkin cone with kitchen foil propping the squid to make it look plentiful, I was told tge you have to eat it with your fingers??. Pepper steak that tasted and looked terrible, the steak was cooked to the right temperature however burned on the outside, the so called peppercorn sauce was just a pan wash, no pepper at all, no stock or seasoning, it tasted like water and salt. I had a bottle of red Burgundy that I drink regularly and to my dissatisfaction on tasting the wine it was unbalanced, when I pointed this out to the staff, the wine was taken away somewhere in the back, the waitress then returned to say that her colleague had said that the wine was fine and that decanting it would correct the wine. The decanter was clearly chipped on the rim and I objected and requested at the least a non chipped one. The wine didn’t correct. Apart from the company of my wife and the garden surrounding all the rest was very unlike of what a 4 star hotel’s restaurant should provide. The grounds of the hotel are very relaxing and comfortable,

Guest UserI picked this hotel as it is ideally located near the channel tunnel. Literally about 5 minutes drive. My only issue was when checking in. I was extremely tired from having driven 7 hours to be told that my booking had not been paid for! I had 100% paid and I had the receipt to show them but it took them about half an hour to finally see that trip.com had sent the money. By this time I was at crying point as so tired I just wanted to go to my room. Bearing in mind they were both speaking in French so I didn’t have a clue what they were saying either, it was really stressful. I messaged trip.com and they were extremely helpful and the issue was sorted a few minutes after that, so I wish I’d done that in the beginning but was not sure what the problem was at that point as could not understand them. There was also a couple behind me who had the same problem. Once I’d got over that, the hotel itself was absolutely fine. I went back down to reception and the lady was really helpful with giving me directions etc. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but I got a hot chocolate out of their machine for a few euros and that was really nice. The room was quite small but that didn’t bother me as just a place to sleep for the night before my journey the next day. I would stay here again as convenient for Chanel tunnel.

Lovely hotel. Although the staff were extremely friendly at reception, there was an issue with them saying I hadn’t paid and I had paid directly through Trip.com, there was no questions on checking out and just had to pay the city tax. Lovely big room which had an upstairs and balcony, think it was a family room as beds upstairs. Be warned the bath is very high and I fell out of the bath because I am short! Even my partner who is over 6 foot said it was high. Very clean, nice bar staff at bar. Swimming pool is nice but did get extremely busy. It is quite a walk from from the town 15-20 mins. Would go back and stay again.

Roli80We chose this hotel for its excellent location near the Eurotunnel and were not disappointed. It's ideal for travelers looking for an easy connection.
What we liked:
Staff: Very friendly and helpful during check-in.
Rooms: The rooms were very clean and surprisingly well-equipped for a short stay.
Location: You're at the terminal in no time, which significantly reduces morning stress.
Things to note:
Breakfast: Unfortunately, we couldn't try breakfast as we had to leave very early. However, the hotel is still absolutely recommendable for early departures.
Bathroom: The shower was a bit 'unusual' or a little odd to operate, but perfectly fine for one night.
Conclusion:
A solid, clean hotel for anyone wanting to spend a night before crossing the tunnel. We would definitely stay here again!

Front desk staff, Tiddy, waited me one hour after the usual closing time. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly. The parking is a little tricky. If you’re lucky, you can park your car free of charge after certain hour until 8:30 next morning on the street in front of the hotel. After 8:30, paying for two more hours at the machine, you can park till 10:30. I like the device which blows out hot air in the bathroom. Other amenities are very basic. Minimal in my opinion. I gave a 5/5 considering the price and the service I received.

Very handy after getting off the ferry from Dover. Easy check in, breakfast was 5 euros. Probably best to find a supermarket. Clean room, plenty of space for me and a bike.
