The price was reasonable, and it was even closer to the port. A taxi from the station directly to the hotel cost about 1000 yen, which was acceptable considering I had a lot of luggage. However, I saw some negative reviews on other websites from Japanese people, but they couldn't pinpoint any major flaws. Was it dissatisfaction and discrimination against hotels run by Chinese people? Or was the hotel truly outdated and unsightly after changing owners to Chinese? Based on my experience, it seems the former was the main issue. Based on my extensive travel experience in Japan and countless hotel stays, the room price and cleanliness were quite satisfactory. Because of road construction at Takaya Shrine, all buses were suspended, and the owner kindly offered to rent bicycles for free, which was a great help. Public transportation is so infrequent here that it's difficult to find public transport back to the city after photographing the sunset over the Sky Torii gates."
