"A truly satisfying hotel in Shirahama! All facilities and the main building are accessible, and the hot springs and foot bath are excellent. The room wasn't small, and even though it was facing the road, it was incredibly quiet at night. The sea breeze was so pleasant! Shirahama is a lot of fun, and I'll definitely stay at Key 1 again next time! The location is super convenient; it's easy to walk to everything nearby. I even walked to the local beer factory for a refreshing pint – fantastic!"

"The hotel facility is excellent and perfectly clean with a high-class traditional japanese service standard. Our room was a deluxe room with private hot spring tub. It's a little pricy while I think it's perfect to celebrate the anniversary with my wife. Dinner and breakfast were good, while it may not be the best comparing with other hotels in the major cities. The sightseeing points are also within 5-10 mins driving distance from the hotel. We expected to watch the sunset at the balcony, while on that day the weather was a bit cloudy so we didn't take a nice photo here."

"Shirarahama Beach is right out the back door of the hotel, which was super convenient! We stayed in a standard Japanese-style room with an ocean view. It was spacious enough for two people, but would be a bit cramped for three. The only downside was the bad weather during our visit. 😭"

Experience the beauty of simplicity in Wakayama, Japan, when you book a room at Fairfield Wakayama Kumano Kodo Susami. Our Wakayama Japan hotel overlooks the Pacific Ocean from our location next to Michi-no-Eki Susami, making us an ideal base from which to explore Wakayama. Enjoy easy access to local activities like fishing and diving or visit Esuzaki Island from our beachfront hotel. Then, stroll the ancient paths of Nagaizaka on the Ohechi route of Kumano Kodo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sample the diverse cuisine of the Wakayama region, from Meharizushi, which are vinegared rice balls wrapped in pickled mustard greens, to seasonal delights such as supremely fresh Kenken Katsuo bonito. An onsen facility "Nozomi no Yu" is located next door where visitors can enjoy a beautiful ocean view. You can enjoy the onsen as many times as you want during your stay. Relax and enjoy a heartwarming moment, gazing out on the scenery woven by the nature.

"The onsen (hot spring) was fantastic. For men, there were two large pools (inner and outer) plus three individual pools. It was rarely crowded; during the National Day holiday, there were usually only four or five people bathing at any one time, making it perfect for Chinese guests who aren't used to Japanese hot springs. Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there's a large public area on the first floor where guests can heat up their own food in the microwave, have coffee, or read a book. I'd definitely go back again! 😁 (PS: I stayed at six or seven guesthouses throughout Japan, and this one had the most comfortable mattress and linens—much more comfortable than the newly renovated Marriott in Kobe. For a Fairfield brand, it was way above average. Lying on this bed after a tiring hike on the Kumano Kodo was so relaxing.) There's an island park near the hotel where you can watch the sunrise and see the sea (but the grass and trees are a bit dense, so you'll need to go with friends)."

Nanki Shirahama Onsen is one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan, appearing in the Manyoshu and Nihon Shoki. Please spend a relaxing time surrounded by greenery and the sea.

"Really loved it! The hot springs were so relaxing, and the breakfast spread was incredibly generous. The view from the window was lovely. On the second floor, there are lots of entertainment options, including massage chairs and a wide selection of manga to read. Just a heads-up: the hot spring pools switch between day and night, so make sure you don't go to the wrong one!"

"The hotel environment is clean and beautiful, and the service is very attentive. The breakfast buffet is abundant. We chose a Japanese-style (tatami) room, which was spacious and tidy. There's a large public onsen on the top floor, and private onsen baths are also available for reservation (3500 JPY per session). The swimming pool wasn't open, so we missed out on that. The location is very convenient, right next to Shirahama Beach. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located on a hill, so walking up the steep slope back to the hotel every day was a bit of a challenge for our cardio and stamina, but we just considered it a workout, which was fine. If we come to Shirahama again, we'll definitely choose this place."

"We booked a private hot spring room with two meals this time. Extremely satisfied! The front desk service was attentive and thoughtful. The hotel faces the beach directly, and the private hot spring is right on the balcony of the room. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the sea view was incredibly relaxing. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and cozy, with a full set of toiletries, bottled water, and snacks provided. The dinner was very rich, with fresh and delicious ingredients. While the breakfast options weren't as extensive, there was still plenty to eat. Overall, I'm very happy with my stay. Suggestion: Would it be possible to offer a late-night snack, like a bowl of ramen, for guests who have finished their hot spring bath around 9-11 PM? (I've experienced this at other hot spring hotels in Japan)."

"The kids were thrilled with the dome-shaped room! It was a Japanese-style room, so they had a great time running around and doing cartwheels! The mattresses could have been a little thicker! The breakfast and dinner buffets had a slightly limited selection, but the fresh sashimi was fantastic! It was a shame that the hot springs opened so late in the morning! Next time, I'd like to stay in a different room!"

Accommodation was lovely and centrally located to shirarahama beach. It was a 3 minute walk from the bus stop. It was well stocked with amenities and the room was large and clean. The lady boss is Chinese so you can communicate by Chinese. They are incredibly kind and helped me get to the hospital when I injured my ankle. They are people that you can trust. Breakfast was also delicious! Chinese food is yummy and a nice break from Japanese cuisine.

The room faces the harbor and is very comfortable. The area is very quiet at night. It's a 15-minute walk from the seafood market. Senjojiki, Sandanbeki, and White Beach are all close together. The bus station is also very close, only ten minutes away. Secondly, the hotel's breakfast and dinner are very rich and attentive. I recommend everyone to try the kaiseki! The facilities in the room are very comprehensive and have a strong sense of ceremony. There are private baths and foot baths. It's so refreshing to soak in them after a day of strolling! The hotel also provides a bus shuttle service to the station, and free bicycles are available. I rented a bicycle and saw many beautiful views around the island. Finally, the owner, Lao Bai, is very hospitable and will drive us out to play. The two staff members can also communicate in Chinese, so it's basically barrier-free. It's very suitable for an in-depth vacation. A very satisfying trip

I love this hotel so much: comfortable and spacious rooms, unobstructed sea views, complete facilities, clean, and the hotel staff is super friendly, choose with your eyes closed!!! The hotel has a modern lobby on the first floor, and there are laundry rooms and bathhouses on the first floor, which are separated by men and women! Laundry room: Wash and dry separately, 100 yen for 30 minutes, usually done in an hour, remember to pick it up in time. The second floor is a public shower room, which is separated by men and women and has strong independence. There is also a public kitchen with complete equipment. Ingredients can be bought at the seafood market. The public kitchen has everything. Other seasonings can be bought at Lawson downstairs, which is super convenient! This is the second time I came to Shirahama. This time I chose to stay in Shirahama. I stayed for a total of two nights. I chose this hotel for both nights. I went to Kii Katsuura for one night in the middle. This time I stayed in Japan for 7 nights. This hotel is my favorite hotel on this trip! I will come again next year if I have the chance!

In order to see the sunset of the sea and the round moon island, the price is very affordable, one person can also enjoy the room, and there are separate toilets and bathrooms in the room. Although it is the most mini bathroom I have ever seen, the bath is still enough. The sister at the front desk is very warm and attentive and will inform the precautions in advance. Sleeping needs to be paved by yourself, which is also a very interesting experience. There is a nearby food manual tested by the staff of the hotel in the room, you can refer to the local restaurant. It takes ten minutes to walk to the vicinity of Yuanyue Island. It was cloudy in the evening and there was no sunset. I went directly to the coral reef to eat a lobster dinner. The road along the coastline is particularly comfortable. The homestay also has free bicycles, but the local road is a bit narrow so there is no experience. The next day, walk half an hour to thousands of stacks, and then walk 15 minutes to three sections of the wall. In addition, the weather in Baibin is really changing rapidly. When it comes, the wind is beautiful. After dinner, it will be windy and rainy. The next day, the light rain from time to time can blow the sea breeze that can blow the skull off the sea breeze is also unforgettable.

The rooms at this hotel are very spacious and clean. There's a Chinese lady at the front desk. For men, the hot spring usually doesn't require a reservation, but ladies who want a private bath need to book in advance. The hotel only offers breakfast, no dinner. There are many restaurants near the hotel, and it's best to make reservations beforehand. The front desk lady was really helpful and booked tables for us. Sandanbeki and Senjojiki are both very close to the hotel. We stayed at several different hotels for a few days, and this was the only one that didn't provide complimentary drinks. My biggest complaint is that the room only had one air conditioning unit for heating. Even with it set to 29 degrees, it was still cold.

Grampus Shirahama A modest hotel right near the ocean. The room was clean, but the air conditioning was all dirty. I wouldn’t want to stay here in summer. The breakfast was nearly the same as in every other hotel in Japan, though the grilled fish was a bit stale. The dining room has a wonderful view over the ocean. The staff almost didn’t speak English but tried to help anyways. Plus: the hotel has its own onsen. Minus: no bathroom in the rooms, only toilets on the floor, no shower.

The Japanese-style house was dismantled into a guest house. It is only for girls. It is better. It is not a mixed bag. The owner Rinji is a man, but it seems that he can't live here, so our actions are OK. If you don’t bring your own towel in the bath, use the towel at the homestay for 100yan, and wash your clothes for 100yan.

Beautiful Ryokan! The room I stayed in had tatami floors and western beds. The doors slide instead of open outwards like they usually do. Toilets are relatively small, but the shower had great water pressure and temperature! However we did not shower much because.. We showered at the Onsen instead since we were there to spend time! The Onsen is tattoo-friendly as confirmed by the check in staff, and the water really had skin smoothing effects. Yukatas are available at lobby area for all guests, and level two has a restaurant with microwave and ice machine outside for your konbini meals. No view from the room, but that's fine cos the Onsen itself was worth a visit. Steep short hill up to the lobby, but if you drive then that's fine. Free to use outdoor BBQ area, but didn't have the chance to. Rooms were comfy, sleep was good with minimal disturbance. Side note: my underwear got stolen at the onsen and I never managed to find it back again but that's fine cos it was worth the Onsen experience. Stayed two nights here, no regrets, would totally do it again! Oh and Onsen area has got numbered lockers to store your belongings but not your undies!
