Maafushi Hotels with Wifi

"The room was absolutely satisfying – quite spacious with a large and comfortable double bed. The sea view from the balcony was excellent. The ground floor (G level) houses the restaurant, while what Trip.com calls the 'first floor' rooms (standard sea view rooms) are actually on the second floor. Deluxe sea view rooms, which are slightly more expensive, are on the third floor and above. The hotel guests are a mix of Europeans/Americans and Chinese. The front desk staff spoke English and I experienced no discrimination whatsoever. Some reviews mentioned that higher floors were given to Westerners, but perhaps they just booked a second-floor room to begin with. Actually, the second-floor rooms are also beautiful, perfectly level with the palm trees. Because Trip.com noted my booking as a 'first floor' room (which is actually the second floor, as the actual first floor is the 'G' level with only the restaurant and front desk, no rooms), I specifically requested a deluxe sea view room on a higher floor than the first, and I was given a room on the fifth floor with an amazing view. When arriving by speedboat, a dedicated staff member was there to pick us up. Although it was only about 200 meters, the hotel still used a golf cart for us and a three-wheeled vehicle for our luggage, delivering everything directly to our room after check-in. When departing, the front desk booked our speedboat tickets for us. The front desk manager personally saw us off to the golf cart and politely asked about our stay experience. The staff carried our luggage all the way to the boat. The service was truly superb. On our first day, we went out to sea, and I left my underwear on the bed since I was wearing my swimsuit. When we returned, the room had been cleaned, and my pajamas and underwear were neatly folded and arranged on the bed. Because the room attendant was male, my daughter and I felt a bit embarrassed. For the following days, we put up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and after returning in the afternoon, we only requested fresh towels and water refills. The staff would still often ask if we needed our room cleaned – the service was truly outstanding. The ground floor breakfast area has plenty of seating, and breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is perfect for not delaying our excursions. There's a wide variety of food, including egg pancakes and corn pancakes that cater to Chinese tastes. I didn't pre-book dinner, but there was a good selection, costing $20 per person, and cash payment was accepted. There are many island excursions available, offering plenty of deep-sea experiences and photo opportunities. All in all, my experience at Kaani Hotel on Maafushi Island was fantastic, and I highly recommend it."

"A room was booked for a VIP customer for one night with bed and breakfast. Unfortunately, due to severe weather conditions, traveling to the island was not possible, and we informed the hotel accordingly. Despite this, their policy was strictly non-refundable, which we accepted. However, when we requested an alternative option such as rescheduling for another date, the Kaani team did not provide any flexibility, even after direct contact. It is disappointing to see such rigid policies applied in circumstances beyond anyone’s control. In the Maldives, when the sea is rough and strong winds prevent travel, guests should reasonably expect some accommodation. Sadly, this was not the case, and I cannot recommend this property if timely travel is uncertain. The response we received when requesting alternatives was: ”Unfortunately we do not have alternative option, hotel booking policy dictates these terms and conditions when making a booking.”"

"Arena Beach was a delight and lovely venue and most of the staff were lovely. The tour/excursion team were very friendly and their excursions were great, affordable and memorable.  I only had a problem with one guy who racially profiled me when I was eating and confronted me if I had paid for the food and asked for my room number. That was disgusting and the hotel should train its staff of racism and micro aggressions. That spoiled my entire holiday.  However, one person’s opinion doesn’t make the entire hotel bad. I will stay at Arena again."

"Absolutely amazing stay with small budget. The facilities very new, location is very close to the jetty. We can enjoy the amazing view of boats, parasailing and water activities from the hotel balcony. The staffs are very nice and we had nice breakfast as well. Highly recommended."

"Had a very very pleasant experience at Kaani! The room, the food, the staff, everything makes me feel like I’m a VVIP! Our PIC Tiger is a very nice and professional guy! We had some small issue with the room and he immediately send over his team and helped us! Thanks to Tiger and the team! Very professional! "This is the furthest hotel from Bikini Beach, but it's about a 5-7 minute walk. The island itself is small, about 1200 meters by 500 meters. There's only one beach (Bikini Beach). The sea is full of dead coral and rocks, so bring slippers. The water is very shallow – up to 1 meter. The island offers many excursions, restaurants with live music, and shops. The hotel staff is very friendly. For breakfast, the hotel brings you your own food (there's no buffet). We initially thought the breakfast was meager, but then we moved to another island where the hotel was twice as expensive, and compared to that, I can say the breakfast here was fantastic."

"Upon arrival, the hotel staff was already waiting at the pier. Upon arrival, we were given juice and wet towels, and our luggage was delivered to our room. The hotel manager told us that it was more economical to eat in local currency on the island, and it was indeed true. Late in the evening, the manager even came to exchange our money, and the exchange rate was very favorable. Relaxing on the sofa in the hotel lobby, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent, with a different menu every day. The breakfast latte was especially delicious. When we left, they even packed our breakfast and brought it to the pier. What a thoughtful touch."

"The hotel is located in the lively area of ​​Maffushi. It feels very safe. The hotel upgraded us to Kaani Beach Hotel. The service is very good and every employee is very nice. The facilities are mature, there is a swimming pool, and there are also sea tours. The instructions are clear. It was a very pleasant time and I enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended!!!!!!!"
