"We visited the island for a few nights stay. We got the room that is exactly advertised. The room is spacious. Swimming pool right outside the room. The room was well kept and always on top for cleanliness. One thing i loved the most is the shower amenities. The body gel and shampoo brings me straight to spa in Bali. The fragrance is so heavenly ❤️ Breakfast is wonderful too. The buffet spread is economical. Didnt get the chef’s name, but i really loved my eggmaster, the egg were always cooked to perfection. The negative aspect of the stay is you dont get buggy service (sometimes the island is too hot for a stroll and the other thing is the phone in the room doesn’t work and no one will be in this hotel desk so in case of emergency you have to walk to main hotel for help."

"I had a terrible experience while I was there. The whole hotel is falling apart as they are renovating. I know renovating creates a mess but they should made arrangements so that guests doesn't have to suffer. Dust, dirt, woods everywhere, persons drilling, cutting, making stay there horrible. It's not only the hotel lobby, rooms are dirty, nothing works properly, the safe vault comes out of the closet when I pull the door, TV doesn't have any channel or internet, nothing, during our 4 days stay, no one came to clean the room or change the bedsheet. In conclusion, my experience at Maamadi Boutique Hotel was like a NIGHTMARE."

It's important to remember that if you're seeking ultra-luxury with elaborate amenities, other hotels might be better suited, but for us, Salt Beach provided everything we needed and more at a fantastic price point. The entire island of Maafushi is incredibly walkable, and the hotel's location made it incredibly convenient to explore every nook and cranny. We loved the freedom of being able to stroll to different beaches, local shops, and restaurants at our leisure, always feeling safe and secure throughout the island. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the welcome was evident with a refreshing welcome drink. The presence of Indian staff was a comforting touch, and their courteousness and readiness to assist truly enhanced our stay. Their helpfulness made everything from checking in to asking for local tips a breeze. The food at the hotel's buffet was good, offering a decent spread of dishes. However, it's a general observation for budget hotels in the Maldives that buffet options, while tasty, might be limited in variety compared to larger, more expensive resorts. This is something to keep in mind when planning your meals. Despite this, we found the food satisfying and it fueled our daily adventures. Overall, Maafushi Salt Beach Hotel exceeded our expectations for a budget-friendly trip to the Maldives. It provided a safe, comfortable, and incredibly convenient base for exploring Maafushi, and the friendly staff made all the difference. We loved our time here and would absolutely like to revisit! "
