The studio is completely separate to the main house standing about 20 metres away and separated by the driveway in the middle. Britannia Villa is a fully renovated villa that has been relocated from Petone in Wellington. Having been cut in two and shipped over the Remutaka Hill it has lovingly and tastefully been stitched back together to create a comfortable holiday retreat. Situated in the heart of Greytown, a 5 min walk to the supermarket and picturesque main street full of upmarket bars, restaurants, and boutiques, this house is must for those wanting to take in all Greytown has to offer.The villa has been fully restored to its original glory with some necessary modern conveniences added and tastefully decorated in keeping with a country provincial style. There are four generous bedrooms, the primary with a king bed and ensuite, and the remaining bedrooms containing queen beds. You’ll be able to relax in an open lounge, dining and kitchen area that opens out to a large north-west facing and sunny deck – perfect for those afternoon gins. The kitchen contains all the necessary wares to self-cater, or you could take advantage of the many great bars, restaurants, and vineyards in the region.Wi-fi and quality linen are provided, as is a modern fire with firewood provided for those crisp winter days, a reverse cycle heat pump and a washing machine available for those longer stays.Rates:A two-night minimum applies for all bookings. Bonus is the pool heated by water reticulating off roof (not useable in winter). Gorgeous wisteria covered pergola over outdoor seating with BBQ. Full use of quarter acre section and pet friendly. Back section so private. Carport. Fruit trees. Dogs, cats and children welcome (please don't leave dogs alone). May be suitable for long stay, eg if you are doing renovations on your own place - please contact to discuss.Walking distance to town (20 mins) or 5 mins from start of Greytown Rail Trail (beautiful 10km walk/cycle return to Woodside station). Although cottage+cabin can sleep 5 it is small (34 SQM cottage + 10 SQM cabin) so may feel cramped for a large group of adults, particularly in winter. It is primarily our family weekend escape from Wellington so please forgive the somewhat mismatched nature of the furnishings. Amazing sunsets and star gazing.Please bring your own linen or sleeping bags, and towels. I live in Wellington so providing linen is tricky.
