The garage can be accessed by the keypad provided out front. There is parking on the street in front of the house. The stairs are maintained and we've never had an injury on them but use of our beach stairs is at your own risk. As an alternative, it is just a two minute drive to beach-level parking on North Harris Beach at Harris Beach State Park.SOUTH HARRIS BEACHSouth Harris Beach, which is one of the best ocean beaches on the Oregon coast, is even closer; it is just a ten minute walk or a one minute drive to get there. Both sit on their own cliffside acre overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.We did not plan on being vacation rental hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to hosts our guests on these amazing properties.I was recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the separate coastal property we now live in while we on a road trip through Southern Oregon.The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The entirely separate guesthouse that came with it became our first vacation rental.Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another vacation rental. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the seller that included some seller-financing and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views.
