Girdwood brewing is a 7 minute walk, (3 if you cut through the meadow!) Alyeska resort of course provides the best of Alaska resort skiing and also backcountry/heli-skiing adventures nearby. Winner creek is a great hiking trail in the summer. If you don't mind some vertical elevation, the North Face Trail is open in the summer and rewards you with great views of the turnagain arm mountains.
