We designed the space with the quintessential Northwoods feel in mind while keeping it a modern and comfortable family-friendly experience.It's the perfect peaceful Northwoods setting in a modern home while still being centrally located.You are only:● 10-15 min to St. Germain & Eagle River● 25-30 min to Rhinelander & MinocquaTHE LAKE:The home is situated on the shores of Dam Lake, which is one of the largest and deepest lakes in the area, spanning over 730 acres.You will have private access to the lake through our brand-new 32ft. dock.The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including musky (Class A musky lake), all panfish, pike and bass, making it a popular fishing destination. The lake also has a public boat launch, just 2.8 miles down the road from us.The Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes includes five interconnected lakes that offer endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. With over 2,300 acres of water, you can spend your days kayaking or canoeing along the tranquil waters, or take a pontoon boat ride and explore the scenic shoreline. The Sugar Camp chain is surrounded by the American Legion State Forest, with minimal shoreline development, which makes our location truly peaceful.Dam Lake is also at the convergence of several of the snowmobile trails that cross the area around Eagle River – the “Snowmobile Capital of the World.”THE HOME:The home itself is a modern and comfortable retreat that is perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends. Walk into the open-concept main level with cathedral ceilings and a breathtaking, south-facing lakeside wall of windows that blanket everything with natural light. There are 180 degrees of lake views to enjoy while lounging on the deep sectional, sharing a meal at the dining table, or brewing your morning cup in our fully-equipped kitchen. A bedroom with a queen bed (new memory foam mattresses on every bed), and a full bathroom with shower/bathtub are also part of the main level.Come upstairs to our favorite room in the house: The loft! We have made this space with kids in mind, but honestly, we love it just as much! There are two sets of twin trundle beds (up to 4 single beds), and a half bath up in the loft level.Head downstairs to the lower level cozy den, where you or the kids can hang out and watch movies, play foosball or an old-school game on the vintage Nintendo 64 (the nostalgia sold us on this one!). A cozy third bedroom (queen bed& 14" memory foam mattress), and a third bathroom with walk-in shower are also here in the lower level. The laundry room is downstairs for your use, as well (along with free-and-clear detergent).Outside: right through the dining room doors await the peaceful and awe-inspiring Northwoods and stunning views of Dam Lake. Drink your morning coffee by the dock and watch the sunrise (my favorite!) or gather by the campfire at night and watch the millions of stars above you. The living room supplies 1 queen size sofa sleepers for larger families.The galley kitchen is fully equipped for your housekeeping needs and has full sized appliances including a microwave and dishwasher. There is a Weber grill, picnic table and a fire pit. there is a side deck also off the other side of the living room. The private dock has plenty of room in a U shape for any additional boats/jet skies etc. that you would like to bring or rent from a local provider.Our Northwoods vacation home is surrounded by large Pines and birch trees, it is also steps away from the American National Forest for additional recreation. The Sugar Camp chain is 70% state owned land so it is very pristine, you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location. This is a class A Musky, lake but is also known for its Wally Pike, small and largemouth bass and abundant supply of panfish.The Grandview is next to The Lodge at Pike Bay and we have other rentals near the same area for larger groups. There is another one bedroom cabin (highland cottage cabin) that sits on the opposite end of the property. You cannot see the cabin from the house and vice versa. It is a lakefront property with lots of room for swimming. The lakefront is shared between the two rentals but there is ample space for everyone. There are kayaks, paddle boards, and a rowboat, free for guest use on the lake. Spring-fall enjoy the mini highland cows on the property. The Lodge is on a grassy slope leading right to the shore of the lake. The chain consists of 2,300 acres of water for your enjoyment. The chain is known for its abundant Musky, Walleye, Small and Large Mouth Bass and huge assortment of pan fish, which you can catch right off the end of the pier! The Lodge was the homestead of the original owners of the Historic Pike Bay Resort. No longer a resort, the lodge has been thoroughly modernized while maintaining its original "north woods charm". The large living room is knotty pine harvested from the surrounding woods. The fireplace was handmade from multi colored river rock, handpicked from the bottom of the lake years ago. The two large picture windows on each side of the fireplace face south giving you an outstanding view of the lake. Central air conditioning makes your break from playing in the sun enjoyable. The 3 bedrooms of the Lodge include: a bright master bedroom featuring a king size bed, dresser, desk, night stands and 2 closets. Attached is a full bath with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. The second bedroom is lakeside with a queen bed.. the third bedroom can sleep 6. It has 2 bunk beds single on top and double on the bottom. The second full size bathroom has a tub with a shower and can be accessed from this bedroom or the kitchen. The modern large kitchen has all full size appliances including a dishwasher, large double sink, full size range with oven and micro. All dishes pots, pans, glasses, utensils and coffee maker are furnished. For your convenience there is a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room directly off the kitchen for your private use. Our guests can enjoy the Weber grill, fire pit, picnic table, wi-fi and direct t.v.. Weekly rentals run from Sat. to Sat. Check in is at 2 pm and check out is at 9 am promptly so care may be taken to clean for our next guests. Weekly base rent is up to 5 people. $100 per person extra over 5. $25 daily guest fee and $35 a night. Pet fee $200 is per pet (must be pre-approved.)
