"Great location by the loch, shops and near restaurants  Comfy room on 1st floor. Staff were quite friendly but not the same warm welcome experienced elsewhere. Pity about hard poached eggs and help needed to make an iced coffee."

"I booked a two-day stay, but had to cancel one day due to travel arrangements. Unfortunately, the hotel wouldn't give me a free stay, so the two-day stay allowed me to relax and unwind in the quiet town, resulting in a better experience. The other guests were all elderly, clearly wealthy white couples; according to the promotional materials, King George VI and Montgomery had also visited and stayed there, making it a great vacation spot. 👍"

"We stayed here for four nights and have already booked again. From the first rate communication during the booking process to the very warm welcome on arrival, the stunning location and historic building everything is superb. Rob and Jana our hosts were very helpful with any requests , giving directions and suggesting places to visit. Their local knowledge is superb. The building has an incredible history including being commandeered in the lead up to Dday as the officers HQ. Our room was spotless and had stunning views of the Loch and gardens, super comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with very powerful shower, A great uninterrupted nights sleep with only the occasional bird breaking the peace and quiet. Location is great for the town centre, a leisurely 10-15 walk. Breakfast was also great, definitely try the full Scottish breakfast with delicious Lorne sausage. Every other guest we spoke with could not speak highly enough of Rob and Jana's wonderful business. They obviously work very hard to deliver such an incredible experience. 5 stars all the way. Worth every penny."
