"Our friendly hosts, Diana and Noel, made us very welcome and provided us with lovely breakfast as well as a few little goodies. They were very kind, attentive, interested and interesting hosts. Noel set us up with a movie to watch each night. Diana helped us find a very nice restaurant on our first night. They are long-time Invercargill residents and have done an amazing job of restoring and fitting out his old home. We really enjoyed our stay there in what is seems to be an increasingly rare traditional B&B."

"My wife & I had lovely experience staying at Admiral Court Hotel. We stayed in the deluxe apartment. Our apartment was amazing. Very nice, modern, clean, & spacious with parking at the door. The guy receptionist & staff greeted you with a smile. They were very accommodating and responded immediately when I asked them to help setup my SKYTV settings. "Throughout my visit, there was persistent drumming noise during midday hours that lasted for several hours. The noise was incredibly loud and disruptive, making it difficult to relax or enjoy my time there. It seemed to be coming from either the manager's residence or another guest. Regardless of the source, the disturbance seriously affected my stay and left me feeling frustrated and annoyed. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here due to the ongoing noise issues. It's a shame because otherwise, the facilities and location were satisfactory. However, until the noise situation is addressed and resolved, I would advise looking elsewhere for accommodation. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about their stay."

"Booked on last minute and was lucky to get a room . We had a renovated room, which was absolutely immaculate. Lovely lounge area , large bathroom with all the essentials, kitchen had everything you need , comfy bed & pillows . We had the room next to the busy main road but after about 9pm went quiet & didn't disturb us. A quick 5 minute drive to the centre of Invercargill, which has many restaurants, takeaways & bars . Definitely recommend as a stopover if travelling between Dunedin & Te Anau. "

"Stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious and had plenty of room. The bed was very confortable. The room was spotlessly clean and was serviced each day. The kitchenette had all that was need for our stay. The wifi was appalling, at a snails pace, and we used our own data instead. The easy chair in the room was not the best but the sofa was fine. The shower was small, had a curtain that kept billowing in and the water temp fluctuated a lot."

"Couldn't find our booking so had to take the only remaining room which was half the size I had paid for, plus lacking many facilities. The shower dripped all night, keeping me awake. The was no shelf in the bathroom, no towel rail, no shampoo/conditioner, the toilet door didn't fully close, the toilet floor was unstable (probably rotten), only one bedside table and one bedside light. The whole unit needs a complete makeover. Expected some compensation, but none was forthcoming. Would definitely not recommend this motel."

"A lovely young host greeted us and showed us a choice of rooms here as we were extremely unhappy with the quality of the current motel we were staying in, so we moved here. It was very spacious, modern and clean. We wanted to cook our own breakfast so our host provided us with an electric frypan. She was very accommodating. The bed was super big and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our move to this room and had a great time in Invercargill. I did do some laundry but found the typical huge motel machines unkind to clothing as Im sure they are only good for sheets and towels."

"This would be the worst motel we have ever stayed in. Booked out family into 2 rooms for the week. Was told we would have a stove ended up getting a tiny hot plate with a bench so small you could never cook in the room anyway. Rooms are very small, beds are uncomfortable ended up spending half the week sleeping on the couch. The rooms are in no way serviced. Beds not made for you or changed all week. Only allowed one towel per person even when we asked for an extra. Told we could have an old one but that was it. Bedrooms were cold due to there only being a heater in the lounge. Bad lighting in rooms. Basic TV channels. Several things broken in the room. Unfortunately there was a large event on in Invercargill which meant all accomodation was full for the week, otherwise we would have moved to a new motel on the first day."
