"The staff was very friendly and helpfull, the beds and pillows were great, the rooms interior is nice. But, the cleanliness was not ok at all, dead bugs and dustnets in every corner, mould in the shower, hairs in the fresh bedsheets, no water pressure, the breakfast was very varied but not fresh, old bread, dry biscuits and pies, eggs,…toastbread but no toaster, …providing less but fresh would be so much better, the breakfastroom was simply dirty :-/, not ok at all. There is a good coffeemachine but in the morning the coffee comes from a large overcooked can. The is garbage in the garden which has been there for a long time. This hotel is at best 3 stars according to western standards…the price is luckily consistent"

"I had high hopes for Centro Ioannina based on booking ratings, but my experience was far from pleasant. Here’s why: 1. No Keys, Just Codes: Access is via a key code, which sounds convenient, but the loud beeping as people punch in codes is constant, day and night. Guests often enter the wrong code and resort to ringing doorbells or knocking endlessly, adding to the chaos. 2. Zero Sound Insulation: The lack of soundproofing is unbearable. You’ll hear crying babies, TVs blaring, and every little noise from neighboring rooms and hallways. If you value quiet, this is not the place for you. 3. Subpar Breakfast: Breakfast is extremely disappointing. A few tiny croissants and vegetables are all that’s offered. Forget about variety or quality drinks—there’s only filter coffee unless you pay extra for a latte or frappe. 4. No Hot Water: The water never gets beyond lukewarm, making showers far from comfortable. 5. Inconvenient Location: The name is misleading. The hotel is far from the actual center of Ioannina—about 2km from the lake, which is the true heart of the city. Without car hire, good luck getting a taxi—it’s not easy. 6. Basic Rooms: The rooms are incredibly basic, lacking charm or comfort. Honestly, it felt more like living in a dorm, and I’ve stayed in dorms that were quieter than this. 7. Lack of Charm and Amenities: Overall, the experience is devoid of any character or pleasant touches. It’s purely functional, and not in a good way. Final Thoughts: There are so many better options in Ioannina. I trusted the booking ratings, but they were misleading. Don’t make the same mistake I did—choose somewhere else."

Location is very good and next to old town, shops, restaurants, and the lake. Self managed apartment style residence so there is no front desk or reception. Be sure to get check in details from property before arrival to ensure smooth check in. Overall I enjoyed my stay"

"Clean and tight no reception online with Code Exzess to the rooms and entrance. The only thing why only 3 stars the walls are so thin you could hear evan a needle drop on the floor from the guy across the street. So when u are a light sleeper do not evan think about it. I must say i arrived around 4 pm with headache tried to sleep every car every person on the street talking i could hear. A car alarm went off 3 times in 30 minutes ( not the fould of the hotel) but the walls are really thin. So when you are young dont care about noise go for it "

"This a very good choice; a simple budget hotel that is a little dated but perfectly clean. The staff is very nice. And it is located in the center, close to many coffee places and bakeries. My room had a refrigerator and air conditioner. It is a little noisy because of the location but with windows closed I did not hear anything."
