"In addition to facing the beach, the hotel is doing very poorly in other aspects. The WiFi upstairs is extremely weak and can't be connected to the Internet at all. There are few types of breakfast, the juice is very difficult to drink, and the breakfast in the 1300-night room is not even as good as the breakfast in the 130 room. It is recommended to avoid lightning!"

"The place was ok, not very clean at all. Priced high ($150/night), and value just wasn’t there. Kitchen utensils, pots and pans were dirty. Old dish sponge left behind. Bathrooms were rusty, and old, with bad quality shampoos and soap. Rain water leaks in main bedroom. Stained bed sheets and old towels. Much better hotels in Isla Isabela to get your bang for your buck."

"I loved Puerta Villamil and loved this hotel ! Mainly because I had a fantastic room (5) - all wood lined, it smelled of wood when you walked in (which I like!), it appeared to be built as the top floor to an extension, it had 2 walls of windows, a balcony and a view of the sea. The shower never got particularly hot, here was no safe or kettle, but there was a hairdryer. They leave a couple of urns on in the dining room, so you can make your own tea or coffee, there's also filter water freely available to fill your own bottle. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was served (not buffet) and it was good - cereal, toast, eggs and fruit. It was 200 metres to the beautiful beach, where we swam with a sea lion and a pelican and saw lots of marine iguanas. A handful of restaurants and beach bars are a short stroll away. Puerta Villamil has a lovely laid back Caribbean vibe. There's not too many people, not many shops, but plenty of wildlife and the beach is astounding. Loved it!"

The owner was incredibly helpful and caring, ensuring that all our needs were met and going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The lodge itself is charming, with a cozy atmosphere and all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient for exploring the island, and the staff provided excellent recommendations for activities and dining. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and highly recommend The Wooden House Lodge to anyone visiting Isabela Island. It’s the perfect place for a comfortable and welcoming experience!"

"Best Hostal on Isabela! Flavio is super friendly and helpful. Each wish is met. The neighborhood is remarkably clean and,it smells everywhere pleasant. There are no insects and no feeds. Rooms are available in small and large, conveniently with excellent beds and it's all there you need. Air conditioning works 1A and is quiet. Large terrace with remarkably clean kitchen. The surrounding area is pleasantly quiet but still central. just apart there are various minimarkets, washing, tour office and restaurants. My best stay on the 3 Galapago Islands.
