Iguana Crossing Boutique Hotel ★★★

"The hotel photographs well and has a nice outdoor seating area around a pool facing the ocean. However, get ocean front rooms. We were booked a "volcanoe " view room, which really just faces the back yard looked into dining room and hall. The manager was helpful and sympathetic and changed us for two nights to ocean front room, which was better. The breakfast buffet was basic at best. I think this is a fine place to stay if you got ocean front rooms, but given it is quite a bit more expensive than other hotels on island, I would look elsewhere."

"Our group had the most wonderful stay at Casa de Marita. The staff were fabulous - special thanks to Jonathan, Gabriel and the team who went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great stay - helping us book day tours and made fantastic cocktails. We loved being able to sit outside right at he table on the sand, and all of the hammocks were divine. The rooms were beautiful - I was in Lila Oceanfront Suite. Great breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The location near town and close to the pier and snorkelling at Concha la Perla was great. If you are planning to stay on Isabela do not go past Casa de Marita."

"Diego and Betsy are exceptional hosts — they arranged our Tintoreras and Los Túneles tours plus our ferries to and from Isabela seamlessly, with on-time pickups and fast WhatsApp communication throughout. They even loaned us snorkel equipment and gave great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is comfortable and relaxing, with a pool and hammocks perfect after long tour days, and an easy walk to the main square, beach, and dock. Los Túneles was the best day of our whole trip. If you’re staying on Isabela, stay here. ¡Gracias Diego y Betsy!"

"This island hotel is a real gem. When checking into our room, I was extremely distressed when I realized the AC was not working (it was in the mid 80's and quite humid outside). I told the front desk and they said all the rooms were full, but they would have the maintenance man come by. We were booked for a 3 day stay and I was mentally melting down thinking that on a small island, what were the chances that this could be resolved in a timely manner? To my surprise and delight, the maintenance man had a new room AC until installed and working perfectly within 2-3 hours. I was amazed and forever grateful as we had a packed schedule and needed sleep! In addition to that, the hotel staff were all pleasant and accomodating. The patio was delightful with lounge chairs, tables and a beautiful view. The rooms were very clean. I highly recommend this hotel!"
